As of now, there is only one cai for the V6 that gives proven gains. That is the Injen cai.

I flow with an Airaid and love it! Easy install, don't have to remove any OEM parts or get into your wheel well to install, no fear of being water swamped in case you run into a flood situation with it installed up high and inside it's own airbox sealed with the hood, it pulls cool air from the grill as OEM designed the original box, versus getting air closer to the ground where there could be more hot air closer to the pavement.
Just a matter of preferences. I'm not saying one is better than another there is only of anything. I do like the way Airaid looks and with this new V2 tube they have going, the performance is outstanding!
Stay thirsty and choose wisely my friend!

Judging by the temps in JRE's test, Air Raid's design has the highest air temperature levels of all the intakes, soooo i think having it down lower in this case is much better. Some people may think the extra work in installing some of the intakes is worth it to have the better product.

What do ya think of this?

http://www.partswebsite.com/gmautopa...page=0&rcatid=

It's official GM, so I wouldn't think it would cause any warranty issues. Seems a little pricey?

I know since JRE said the Airaid needed another hole to allow for more air and it would be good to go, I've done the modification that Blackbee and KGA did by drilling holes in the front and fender side of the box. Since doing so, my response is even better than just having the V2 tube that I got in May and the other thing I've notice is that the car sounds even better and the air tube is a lot cooler than before. It's definitely running cooler temps now. I'm still not a bottom feeder person. I had InJen on my previous car and loved it but it too was a short ram tube. I've seen too many intances where flash floods have occured with sudden heavy rains and the end result. I feel I have the best of both worlds now.

Peace!
