Cam Decision Help!

Guys, I've been posting a lost about cams lately and I appreciate all the info!!

Again, I am on the edge of getting a cam package for my L99...I've been talking to Livernois and Vector Motorsports for the job. I am a bit of a newbie with this cam stuff so I am trying to get as many opinions as possible. I also realize that talking to the shops should settle any issues as well.

What are some opinions (especially from the guys who have had this done) regarding the type/size cam I should be looking if I want a good increase in TQ and HP (more so toward the lower RPM's where I will be using it), real good sound to it, loud but not obnoxious (it will have Kooks LT and a Corsa)...I want the old school muscle sound, and all while maintaining the driveability as much as possible. I am not going to race this car and it is not my daily driver. Livernois offers a Stage 1, 1B, 1C, 2, 2B, 2C and all their specs are listed on their website: http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/...3%3A+Camshafts

Any specific LSA, Lift, etc...I should be focusing on? Any of you get a cam on yours and wished you had got a different one?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best thing to do is talk to whomever will be doing your cam package. Let them know your goals for the car and let them tell you your options.

Do you have a video?

I'm very interested in cam info as well. A cam is in my future and I'm just starting to do homework. I also have an L99.

Wow. KMSRS2SS. Nice. I'm going to look into that same cam. I love the sound of your car at idle.

I would do our 2c cam personally. It has a good amount of lope, but nothing too crazy where it draws the wrong kind of attention if you know what I mean And it has very good drivability.

The specs are 224/236 .612/.612 117LSA so if in the future you decide to go with a supercharger you will have a cam that works quite well with boost too let me know if you would like some dyno graphs for the A6 cars we have done with this cam.

Thank you,
Andy

WOW was that in an L99??
Man alive now I gotta do something as well, wish all you high end engine guys weren't so far away. That is one heck of a drive for me to get the work done. sounds like it would be worth it though.

The guys at Loud Pedal are pretty cool. I had the great fortune of working with them for a week for vehicle certifications. Their tech is absolutely first class. He has the biggest tool box I ever have seen. And he uses all his stuff!

they are a great Pedders dealer!
