COLD AIR INTAKE HELP ME DECIDE

What would you recommend

1. NEW ERA

2. ADM RACE VERSION

I have a 1SS ( A6 ) Vector tuned

Or are they both overpriced and the ROTOFAB would net the same gains

How is the throttle response versus stock? The last intake I had (different car) made the throttle response a little worse but the power was better throughout the band.

Edit: Sorry, not trying to threadjack. My pick is CAI as well. Waiting for mine to come in!

The throttle response is quicker than stock. I love it. Also, the sound at idle is about the same as stock, but at throttle it make a wonderful roar! It just feels quicker and stronger to me. This was my first engine mod on my car and I am really pleased with the results.

Cold air inductions definitely hands down, but if you go between those two then go with Andy at ADM!

I totally agree. I do not want to open my hood and see a filter anywhere at all. Just like factory, out of sight and out of mind. Also, with ADM the MAF sensor is relocated into the cooler air of the airbox. I have the race version. Good Luck

I like my ADM race intake! I would also be interested in the New Era.

There are a lot of really good CAI's on the market for the Camaro. Gives us owners/consumers a nice selection pool. Personally I think the following are the pack leaders:

Halltech
CAI
ADM
Injen
Roto-fab

Nothing against the other intakes available. The vendors I listed do not require a tune which means true bolt-on and go. They all perform very similarly. I think your decision point should be which of the 5 you like the looks of the best.

CAI or ADM. If you want to talk to the guy that designed it and such go ADM. Andy is a heck of a nice guy and very easy going.

You should read the thread about Jannetty Racing's test results of intakes before deciding.

No decision... go with the ADM Race, for all the reasons stated in this thread *and* because your car will reward you for it later, the next time you press the gas. Plus, some realworld/realtime feedback for the ADM Race... my internal ambient temp (the air going into my engine) averages about 1.5-2.5 degrees above the external air temp. I don't know of any other cold air intakes with that kind of heat separation. Lastly, where's the MAF on every other intake? In the hot engine bay or in the cold air box? With ADM, street or race, the MAF is in the nice cool air box... right where it should be.
