OK...Lets clear this LED question up

We all know that the gauges themselves will ight up in a blue color...
What will change to orange in the Orange leather interior?

Then there are those colored inserts from GMPP, but what about the LEDs? will they still be blue like the gauges?

Why doesnt GM just make them change colors...Can somebody fill me in more on this feature and just what we have to choose from on the release cars?

I already asked about this in another thread and i was told told even if you order the yellow interior trim you are still stuck with the blue lights so you will end up with a greenish looking light plus the blue around the speedometer. It will end up looking like a xmas tree

im 95 percent sure that if you order the different colored trim kits that they will come with the same color led lights(ambient lighting) but that the LED's will still be blue in the speedo no matter what.

So....The gauges and radio will stay blue...but if you get orange or yellow or red trim package, then you get that color of ambient lighting correct?

Dont you think the two colors going on in there could start looking lik eyou are trippin' or something!!!!

lol yea that was my biggest problem with the interior trim kit, but i decided to not get it so that my camaro would look less like a racing car and a little more upscale, naw mean?
and yes you are correct. IE. you get the yellow trim kit, you get yellow trim on the seats and stuff and you get the yellow ambient lighting. at least that's what i think. im like 95 percent sure like i said, so i could be wrong, your best bet would be to ask FBodFather,(a high ranking gm employee by the name of Scott Settlemire) whaat he knows and can tell you about this

The interior trim kits are dealer installed options so I don't see how the colrs will change for ambient. I haven't seen any hard proof of multiple lighting color options yet>

Also, the seating surfaces do not change unless you get the inferno orange package, otherwise, you'll have solid seating in whatever color you chose.

Basically, it is door panels and a strip on the dash that matches your exterior color.
Unless for some reason you order a yellow trim kit on a black car????
No seating surface changes - unfortunately.

I thought they said at Indy that the trim kit included the appropriate lighting?

I wish.
I'm hoping that the design allows for color changes at the dealership, however, I do know that the trim kits are LPO's, which is dealer installed.

i also know that LEDs, by nature, can change colors based upon the color generation.
It's possible, that all cars will have the ability to change colors via the OBC and the dealer will make the change when the kit is installed>

if that's the case, theoretically, you could change ambient colors with/without colored trim kit.

Ok, so what is the basic door panel without the interior trim kit? Gray?

I'm not sure.
I originally thought it would be the same color as the dash, however, we've all seen a few pictures with the smooth "painted" door panels and dash trim??

Dis anyone get a good look at the interior of the Camaro used in My worst enemy??

there's only two LED options. BLUE and Orange. You get the orange with the Orange Accent package.

END.
