Did you get an order # or any refernce for your pre-order?

So I went to my dealer today and placed an order tallied up and came out
to 31,100 with 1ss and hockey stripes but I did not get an order # or any reference number.

Should I be worried

Did any of you guys get a number? and what was it for?

My dealer told me I would get a number once Gm accepted
the order?

Should I go back and demand a number? and watch him hit submit or something??????????/

Kinda scared? should i go to a new dealer, i just gave him a grand!!!

I did no tget one my self and the dealer e-mailed me the whole document like 10 pages of every thing.

The six digit alphanumeric is on a seperate page all by itself.
if work bench accepted the order, the number was generated and should be available to you.

I would ask them for the GM confirmation number; that's what is use for tracking purposes.

Ok well I emailed the dealer late last nite and will call him at lunch, i really hope this dealership is not going to wait until december to place orders or something, cuz he told me I was #1 and especially since i gave a deposit I want a real order and proof. Thanks Ill keep an update

I got a two page print out that says preliminary order...then there is a six letter "code" or number...is that it?
Why is it preliminary order...shouldnt there be something more?

yes that is your number. Preliminary means it is in the system but not picked up yet, you can make changes in your order until it is picked up for production.

I have been in contact with a local chevy dealer and they claim that they have been unable to submit any pre-orders. I am #7 in line and wonder why everyone else on here has been able to get their number? If anyone can offer some support or information it would be appreciated. I live in California and the local dealership is Don Steve's Chevrolet in La Habra, CA.

Tell them to call the regional rep and have him teach them how to use the system. Dealers across the country have submitted 11,000 sold orders already. They are trying to use the wrong screen if it won't let them submit one.

My dealer also told me there was no pre order number. I called the chevy number listed on the camaro site. They in turn contacted the dealer who then gave me my number.
