Talking *Exhaust Install* I know this is last minute, but...

I had scheduled for my dealer to put on my magnaflow cat-back system today but they cannot do it until Monday.

Is there anyone in the Houston (preferably Katy area but I'm not picky) area that might want to hook a fellow camaro5 member up with an install tomorrow? Of course I am looking for someone who knows what they are doing and has the proper tools (and lift) and if you could PM me a price that would be cool!

It shouldn't take long... straight bolt on kit as I am sure everyone knows.

Thanks in advance!

-Dave

Straight bolt on kit? If you want it done right now, get a jack and some jack stands

Prefer a lift... but don't think that hasn't crossed my mind!

A lift is a huge help, but I put my Magnaflow cat-back on by myself one evening with all 4 corners on jackstands, and a well-equipped a socket set. Took about 1-1.5 hours to fit it all and tighten down, not counting beer breaks! And don't forget the WD-40 to help with the dog-bone hangers. Good luck with it.

You'll be happy, it sounds good when you put some foot in it! But just for curiosity sake....if you wanna hear something cool, then start the car for a second after you've taken your stock exhaust off!! It'd run like crap if you try to drive it like that, but it sounds mean! BTW, nice stripes, I like the contrast and how they go all the way down.

Thanks! I wanted to do something to make it my own with the stripes and when I saw the Indy Pace Car pictures I knew that was the look I wanted!

i had my axle back installed over at LateModelRacecraft on W Little York near the beltway. i think they charge about $100per hour and for a cat-back i would bet your looking at 1.5hrs labor.

for a cat-back there is no cutting required so i'm sure you will be good to do it yourself with 4 jack stands and a 15mm socket wrench.

Me and 2 buddies installed the complete Magnaflow 16580 Catback yesterday in about an hour and a half. Easy as pie. Granted, the 1-piece stock system can be a pain in the ass without a couple extra hands, everything else is easy as can be. Definitely one of the easiest exhaust installs you can do. Definitely save the money, get some rhino ramps, jack stands, a jack, and a few buddies and you're set.

I have videos and pics to post when I get a chance this weekend.

I put my Borla S-Type cat back on in about an hour and a half. I definitely recommend doing it on race ramps. It's a very easy job. Just make sure you have someone to help you remove the stock exhaust. All you need is WD-40 and a 15mm.

I agree. Do it yourself. Save yourself the money plus personally I get a lot of satisfaction in doing my own work on my car. I did my LTs completely by myself and those are a little more complicated than the cat back by yourself. If you have a helping hand it's definitely easier.

Do it bro! I used my Rhino Ramps from Pep Boys. No jack, no stands. Back it on the ramps, and have fun. It really is that easy.

Dude...you can do it. Put some WD-40 on the rubber hangers to help get them off. The bolts are 15mm and you can loosen and tighten by hand. Getting the stock exhaust off will probably be the harder thing to do.

Save yourself the money and build up you confidence by DIY. An extra set of hands can definately help but not absolutely necessary. Go call your friends and tell them you're buying beer and pizza.

If you were in my area I would help you out with both the lift and getting it installed. Unfortunately I'm probably 4.5 hrs away.
