Ok tell me what you all think. Based upon the info posted here, the numbers paint this picture.

Using a total build of 100,000 cars (yes, I know more have been built than that, I just don't have that number to work with)

ABM = 3.8%......................=3800 vehicles are ABM
Interior Jet black = 1.23%....=1230 vehicles w/JB
1SS = 6.98%.....................=6980 vehicles are 1SS's
M6 =62.97%
Sunroof = 44.42%
Last 4 digits of Vin = 1969 (1969 Camaro reference)
Do you think that this combination is well "rare"???? Mathmatically if there are 100,000 cars built, only 10 can have the last 4 digits of the vin as 1969. ABM is no longer made.

Just really curious now if this car actually is rare. I mean it is a dealer ordered unit, not an RPO. What are the chances of getting this combination together and have such low percentages???

No Bashing please, This is a legitimate question. I'd like real constructive feedback. If it is a "rare" car should I store it, Show it, Drive it like I stole it, Keep it in factory spec's. I just don't know what to do.
Thanks in advance for any advise.
Robert

Jarhead: Storing a new car as it might be a future collectable has almost always proven to be foolish. Life's too short- If you want a rare collectable car go buy one- Prices are down 25-40% over 3 years age.

I guess mine is rare. it's a 1SS with jet black cloth, Inferno Orange, Manual with a Boston Acoustics upgrade and polished rims. Nobody has this exact combination..

Thanks for the feedback. Currently it is my Daily driver, after seeing the info posted I was just wondering if it was a potential collectable. My thinking was more in line with doing mods. You know , Saving "Factory Parts" for the "complete car" "numbers matching" mentality.

When you weigh info to draw conclusions from it is a good idea to seek out different perspectives. That's all I was doing here. The basic premis was, 1st yr production car, low factory production numbers, discontinued options during production year, simply got me to wondering Hmmmm, "What if". "What are the chances", One never really know until time goes by, but that's life Huh.

Texas! lol....

Jetblack vs Black interior? never knew their was a difference, and If this was already addressed forgive me, I don't feel like reading all the pages.

As has been said every 2-3 posts it seems...

"Jet Black Interior" is black interior with cloth seats and door and dash inserts. "Black Interior" is black interior with leather apportioned seats and some other type of door and dash inserts.

Yup. 20 $$ at walmart. Saves the seat from my nasty work clothes. I might get the other side someday, Who knows. I normally am driving solo so, no real urgency there.

That's why I bought mine in the US.

I preordered mine at which time the Cdn dollar was not as strong as it is right now. If I was doing again today, I would probably buy in the U.S.

As for the Cdn stats, they are not accurate, if there are only 61 in Ontario, I have seen almost all of them. The Squirel or what ever the name is database, if that is where these numbers came from, that database captured only the first 2 or 3 months of build information, so basically the preorders.
