I would like to know the "real" reason, and why "most would'nt want to be seen in it"? Because that's what most people comment on, is this color. You can pm me with the answer.

It could also be an insuarance thing. 300+ HP from the V6 is nothing to sneeze at.

I'm with you, the color seems to impress quite a few people I meet. They also are surprised to find out the output of the V6. I'm a proud owner.

Most of the major speed shops come from Texas. Texans love to go big and fast. I'm a Texan at heart

There are times I wish I lived in Texas, but being from Philly I have no idea if I could adapt to that part of the world.

IMO the price has really hurt sales here in Canada. Add $10,000 to the U.S. price on any model LS thru 2SS. However, it depends on where these status were pulled from because I know, at least in the beginning, the database being created by C5 members that were pulling from GM's U.S. website did not capture all of the Canadian orders. Mine still doesn't show up on some of these lists and I have had it for a year.

If you mean because of the weather, you could if you live in Charlotte right now. Contrary to popular belief Texas is not a vast open prairie with tumbleweeds flying around everywhere. In fact, Texas is big enough that you can have 80 degree weather at the beach on one end and snow on the other end (I've seen it). Mountains on the west side, pine forest in the east, with every type of terrain/climate in between.

Now, if you mean culturally, that is possible too- everyone in Texas came from somewhere else in the beginning...besides, how bad could it be? Also, if you are from Philly thats the city of Brotherly Love (I know a few guys from Philly- one always told me "If you don't know, you better axe somebody") You can tell from this chart that having a Camaro is part of the admission price to live here, and you already have that.

Well.....that sounds welcoming

Do you by any chance write the Official Texas Tourist's guide?

All it takes is learning to talk a little slower, seeing how you look in ropers and a cowboy hat and suppressing your rational fear of tornadoes! Nothing to it, really :P

Oh, and you MUST love Texmex... and steak!
