I know what you mean. I experienced one once when I lived in Bel-Air Maryland. The epicenter was in Lancaster PA. (Amish country of all places.) Quite mild, and we were used to the windows rattling from artillery testing at near-by Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Only this time, the foundation of the house was moving side to side. It WAS pretty cool.
