Exclamation Are you aware of the latest restrictions purchasing racing gas in Calif

Its now easier to purchase an M16 rifle than purchase racing gas in our great state (?) of California. Not sure how this law came about or how it passed. Now most dealers will not sell racing gas unless you prove the car is a "true" race car cannot be registered with proof, i.e. an NHRA membership license or equivalent. You now can be considered a criminal and arrested for running racing gas on the street. What's next they make LS3's illegal?

I think you are talking about leaded race fuels, and it has been that way for some time. And you really don't want to run leaded fuel in your gen5, or any "cat car" for that matter.

There are still a few gas stations in the SF Bay Area that have a pump with race fuel..... you just have to know where they are

Many refiners, blenders, and distributors of racing fuel sell and supply a “street legal” high octane unleaded

This is very old. It has to do with air health and safety regulations. I'm glad people aren't driving around with leaded fuel anymore.
You can still buy unleaded 108 octane at many 76 gas stations.
