Cold Air Inductions CAI installation?

I did a search on this, but didn't have any luck. My Cold Air Inductions CAI is FINALLY on the way. Does anyone have a link on the install? About how long does it take? Thanks for the help!

It was the easiest install I have ever done. Maybe took 45 minutes and I took my time. You get good instructions with it.

Just put mine on yesterday. Really easy install, about 45 minutes. Great color, step by step instructions. Make sure you have a Heat Gun (or hair dryer) to bind the vent tube and hose.

Throttle response seems to have increased as does the sound when going WOT. It sounds great.

Next up, headers and exhaust!

I didn't have a Heat Gun, so I used a steady hand and a cigarette lighter.

CAI Instructions Here.

I don't think I'll get in trouble for this, I didn't see any copyright info on the instructions.

I scanned the instructions as a PDF. I hope this helps.

Did you guys order via CAI or Jannetty? Who has the better price? Jannetty was offering a Camaro discount, don't know if it is still valid though.

I plan on getting this CAI as well and was unable to find any install videos either, other than the one someone filmed at night .

It'll come with instructions, you probably won't need them. Just remember to put the sensor in the right way and the rest is pretty obvious.

It took me 15 minutes, and that's because I forgot where I put my screwdriver after I ran back in the house to answer a phone call.

It comes with instructions but you hardly will need them.

Took me an honest 30 minutes from tools up to tools down.

I bought mine direct from CAI. Don't get in any big hurry. It took about three weeks for them to ship it. Supposed to arrive via UPS tomorrow. I am so ready to get it installed. Thanks to all!

I ordered mine from Janetty three weeks ago. Still haven't got an update or shipping notice. Should I just cancel my order, and go with APEX?

Seems everyone else is getting theirs already.

i am interested in building my own 4 inch cai and have most of the parts. my main concern is... if i can use the stock maf sensor, currently in the car ,that is in a 3 inch maf housing, and use it in a 4 inch maf housing ,and if not ,could i use the maf sensor from the v8 camaro or the ls3 models? the parts i have so far ,is a 4 inch to 3 inch silicone reducer, a 4 inch stock intake tube[pvc] from an ls3[trimmed 3 to 4 inches off the throttle body end and also cut off the resonator and vacuum tube boxs] a 4 inch aluminum maf housing adapter, a 4 inch aluminum universal maf housing, a aluminum 4 inch tube and then to the filter. i am not interested in spending a bunch of money on a polished aluminum tube that will be wrapped with a thermal insulator . any help even sarcastic is appreciated support your local barbershop. get a hair cut!

On the MAFS, I'm not an expert, but it seems to reason that you wouldn't be able to do that without a tune the way you are describing it. No tune would cause some serious hiccups if I am thinking it through correctly. But yes, you can throw this MAFS in a 4" intake. The CAI intake is a 4" tube.

I ordered mine directly from Cold Air Inductions. The instructions that come with it are easy to follow. It took about half an hour to install. You need a heat gun, some sockets, and screw drivers.

Or a lighter if you lack a heat gun (which is what I used)
