Boost Gauge

OKAY...so we have the four gauges in the lower console...I figure Volt meter is the least useful...How could we replace that with a good boost gauge? Is there anyhing made to fit that weird shape? will it be replaceable?

I would love to see what you guys can come up with. I just think it would be extremely clean to put it there instead of getting too carried away with the A-pillar gauge pods!

Lets see it folks, what can we do with a boost gauge?

I have a feeling the aftermark will come up with some sort of solution.

i was thinking the same thing although i would prefer a pillar mounted setup so all the criticall guages are at eye level, imho.

Well It is obviously on a blown motor. And I had pillar gauges in my T/A, but I would ike to keep it down in the center console. Those are the gauges i used to have on the pillar anyway. Just a thought, that is why I wanted to see what you guys all think could be done to get a guage in there, and keep a clean look. It isnt like you need to look at those numbers much while driving...I really only looked to check while dyno tuning...The rest (temps) you really only check sparingly.

Given that the car is equiped with a multi-fuction display between the guages, it would be nice for GM to release some kind of SDK to allow an owner to develope new uses for it, like a boost guage for example. This would solve two problems: no custom cutting or replacing of parts would be needed to mount new hardware, and it would keep these vitals in your line of sight.

Just an idea from and unrepentant geek.

From what I've seen, a trans temp gauge. Not that you'll need it.

G-meter with recall would be a nice replacement gauge.

Wait and see what aftermarket comes up with, or design your own gauge pod to replace the factory setup.
