Question What are must-have options?

Say you start with the SS model coupe with LS3 and manual transmission...

Don't you want the premium stereo and leather seats and ambient lighting?
Aren't these only available in the SS2 option package?

Don't you want the HID headlights with halo rings and body-color roof ditch molding?
Aren't these only available in the RS option package?

Don't you want one of the types of stripes available? Are these available from the factory in white or cyber gray and possibly in other colors as a dealer-installed option?

SS + SS2 package + RS package + stripes = not gonna be cheap.

Anyone also want the dealer-installed short-throw Hurst shifter or any of the other dealer options?

I think that anyone who tries to get off cheap with a "stripper" model SS will wind up regretting not getting the ambient lighting or HIDs or (insert your favorite option here).

And I didn't even mention the optional sunroof (because I hate them).

lets say the ss will start at 30000-31000 the ss2 package 2000-3000$ the rs package 1500-2000, stripes i think 1000, sun roof 800 vert 3000- 4000

im getting the v6 so 26000-27000 + 2000+2000+100+800 o yeah vert 3000-4000

i came up with 35,000 for a fully loaded v6 vert

im guessing a fully loaded ss vert will go in the range of 40000

im just taking a guess

lets see what prices you come up with

Really, how would 26,000 be competitive against a 22k Challenger, and a 20k Mustang?

Mine will be a V8 with hockey stripes, the 4-gauge pod, and the RS package. This should be around $30k.

If I can't afford that, it will be a very sad year until I can.

My prediction:

SS will start at a modest 28,900. Most SS will be RS right off the bat but will come in manual without a Sunroof but with leather and will be about 31,500.

V6 base will be 22,000 easy. Loaded V6 won't make it to 27,500 unless it's a Vert.

RS is just a 2,500 upgrade.

What's SS 2 package?

I have to have everything but the sunroof. I will be waiting for the HUD to be availible. So for me it is a SS/RS loaded, not sure what the price will be but I am prepared for anything up to 40k. If it is more than 40k, I will look toward the vette.

I already know that I'm going to pay wayy to much money for this car than i really should with all of the options i want but i dont care. I want a Z28 but i will settle for a SS if theres none in sight when im ready to buy one in 2 years. I want a tottaly custom color not avaiable from the dealer because to be honest all of them suck. I want a very specific blue. Imperial blue just doesnt cut it and come on what the hell is "Aqua" blue on one of the most badass cars ive ever seen in my life??!!? I want an aftermarket bumper similar to the one in the picture on here in the article about the new transformers 2 movie. also with the chrome 5 spoke rims stripes and whole new hood because i dont like the reverse hood scoop. I also want the sun roof and the best sound system available. After that if it doesnt have a S/C im throwing one in along with headers catback exhust etc.. im sure you can see where this is headed but it will all be so worth it to me im completly obsessed with this car!!

This really needs to be a mastercard commercial...

Camaro V6 LT $23,000
LT2 upgrade $2500
RS package $2000

Enjoying your ambient light, while sitting on your comfy leather seat, the road lit up with your halos, hearing the music from your boston acoustics sound system............... Cruising in YOUR new camaro.... PRICELESS.

I started out wanting the least expensive Camaro I could order... Manual, V6 no spoiler, but the RS with the halos and rims. Also the leather with Ice Blue lighting is way to cool to ignore. I better keep saving. Maybe Ill donate some blood.

You think I'm expecting this to be cheap? I live in Europe! This car is going to cost me either way, so I might as well go all in! SS, interior package, RS package, Bumblebee package, HUD and stripes. That's gonna cost me, yeah, but I'm planning on keeping this car a long time so I'll take it.
