Caliper Mod

So I received my G2 Orange Brake Caliper paint kit yesterday and went right to work. Jacked up the car, got all the wheels off, put it on jack stands, then went to town. It took around 5 hours. I took my time as to not screw anything up, but I am very happy with the results. Here are some pics below... I'll post some more once I have the wheels back on the car later.

How is the finish of the brushed on paint? Do you think you can put decals back on them?

This G2 Paint Kit seems to give a decent gloss. A brushed on finish will never look the same as a sprayed on finish, but I'm very pleased with it. After three to four coats, it looks like they were sprayed.

I don't see the Decals having a problem sticking to the painted Calipers. After this G2 paint cures for 24 Hrs, it really hardens up.

Thanks It was time consuming and tedious, but it was worth it. I'm going to put the wheels on, I'll post some pics after.

I put on the Brembo decals, then sprayed clear coat over them. What I'm finding is that the paint is chipping. Each time the wheels are taken off, they are getting scrapped ;(

You did a good job!

Brake Cleaner Included with the Kit. I did scuff it up a bit with a wire brush when using the brake cleaner, then just wipe it with a rag.

It's G2's orange, not the color match. The color match is $99.00, the kit I got was G2's orange for $42. It really really looks awesome to me.... Really sets off the car.
Drove around the block and took some pictures, tell me what you think....

ok im seriously considering doing this in White, but the problem is that im a total noob when it comes to car parts. calipers are the things that attach to your brake pads to break?

Do you need to take off the calipers to paint them? and if you do, how do you take them off? after you paint them, do you need a torque wrench to torque it back to a certain whatever lbs? also are there certain parts where you should not paint because they will need to be removed and will cause it to chip and crack?

Sorry my english is bad lol. Thanks guys.
