Wow this was really a great event. Just got a call from Sean at Nurse saying I am the lucky recipient of the new Fossil watch. Very happy. Wish there more of these events!

Congrats FP!!!!!

Regarding press, there was a couple TV crews on site, Hylton gave interviews. The link for one of them is around here somewhere. Not sure about the other one. I didn't check the papers. But very soon (like about 10 days from now) there will be articles in a couple of the local papers regarding the donation of the BBOMG proceeds to a local charity. I will post them when they become available

Yeah Sean also told me that. I am happy to see money going back to Charity. I hope I am back from vacation to go see that next Saturday.

We have decided to donate the money to the Big Brothers and Sisters Organization of Oshawa/Whitby. For those of you who are not aware of this organization, they pair up responsible men with fatherless boys and responsible women with motherless girls. This gives the kids a mentor to look up to and share thoughts, ideas that they are reluctant to share with anyone else.

The organization regularly holds activities which the brothers and sisters participate in together and we are encouraging them to bring the kids out to Nurse Chevrolet next year to join us. If one kid falls in love with someones car enough to fly straight and work hard enough to buy a Camaro some day, we as contributors and participants of BBOMG did good!

Good to hear that. I definately would like to come again next year. We had a great time. I think the kids would definately love Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, and any other transformers inspired camaros.

It's funny you should mention the kids though. Last weekend I went to Holt, MI where they were having their classic car show. I was parked outside of there and didn't enter the car. Camdaddy showed up, and we were getting attention, so much so that the organizer asked us if we wanted to be part of the show. During that time, we did have some kids run up to us and ask us how much our cars were.

We would like to once again give thanks for the wonderful support of the 2010 BBOMG event sponsors and the generosity of the participants in the Saturday night raffle. The generosity of those involved meant that the weekend's events were entirely free to those that attended (except the dinner of course). However in addition to this, we are pleased to announce that the weekend's events resulted in surplus of
$1,521 !!!

We decided to donate the proceeds to the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BB-BS) Organization of Oshawa-Whitby.

Today we presented a representative of Big Brothers Big Sisters with the proceeds from the weekend. The presentation was conducted at one of the BBOMG hosts, Nurse Chevrolet Cadillac.

Included above are (left to right): Mary Nurse, Shawn Irwin, Mike Judge, Linda Landry, Noel Mowat (BB-BS), Scott English, Gilles Landry, Joe Pitaro, Oshawa Mayor John Gray (Hylton Jorssen - not present).
