lighting question

i'm still newish to the camaro, so i'm not sure if this is design or flaw. i have the RS headlights on my ss. when i start the car at night, the halos/HIDs come on and remain on until i turn the car off. however, when i shut the car down and turn the key into the off position, the halos and hids turn off, but when i take the actual key out, they come back on? I wasnt sure if this was normal or not, id think not since it's very bad to flicker HID kits on/off. thoughts?

It could be an issue with the wiring, grounds, or relay if you are experiencing flickering issues. Could you post a video of what you are describing?

I don't think it's going to cause any issues though

It is normal. My 2014 does it as well as every other car, even without the RS package I believe. It is so when you get out of your car, there is light to see in front of you to walk and whatnot. It stays on for like 30 seconds, or until you lock your car. It is taken one step further in most luxury sedans and you can actually choose the length of time that you want the lights to remain on after you get out of the car. But it is normal, don't worry about it.

i know it's normal for the lights to stay on for a bit after the car shuts off. but i would just expect the light to stay on from when the car was running, not turn off, then turn back on again. i will try to get a video of it tonight if i remember to

When I turn off the car the lights go off and when I pull out the key, they come on. Yes. It's perfectly normal, I assure you!

gotcha, just thought it was a weird design since HIDs are not meant to be turned on/off in quick succession

When I pull my key the DRLs come on for the exit lighting.
