I wish the Camaro sales would slow to a crawl, there's enough on the road already...don't want to end up like the dime a dozen Mustangs I see every 10 seconds.

So Mustang finally broke our streak huh? Guess the 5.0 did the trick, but that's fine with me. No more threads whining about how "everyone has a Camaro", and "they're going to me a "me too" car just like Mustang soon"

So... poor sales figures are good for keeping Camaro alive? There's a difference between an exclusive car and a undesirable car.

Ford sales were impressive with a 23% increase for the month of May, but I just noticed that GM, Buick, Cadillac posted a 32% sales increase for May:

http://media.gm.com/media/us/en/news.html

Way to go GM. Maybe it won't be "Government Motors" for much longer.

Love the Camaro, respect the Stang. It's a given Ford will do very well this year when you have the "out with the old in with the new" sales mentality. Good for Ford, great for America!

Let the battle rage on!

Purty graphs btw

As many others have said, fire sales on the 2010 and the new 5.0 pushed it up.

Probably will be like this for at least a couple of months.

This is good, it'll force GM to do something about it.

There have been enticing deals for 2010 Mustangs in my area. 15K for a v6 and 20K for GT. I'm pretty sure it was only one of each but am not certain on the features.

I'm not concerned with the health of the Camaro, it has no bearing on my life other than resale value: which will be crap if the market is flooded. I also know a $30k is never going to be exclusive I just don't wnat to see one every 30 seconds like I do the Mustang. I guess my 350Z was impractical enough to keep the numbers reasonable where I live.

I too would expect to see this for only a couple of months. There's barely a drop off in the Camaro sales between last month and this month so it's not like the Mustang is gaining a bunch of market share. Still it only beat the Camaro by 1300 units or 14.5%. It would have to sustain at least that lead for 4 months to match the YTD sales.

GM needs to sell as many Camaros as they can. More Camaro sales = More profit/ROI = More incentive to build a Z28 and the 6th gen.
