Ordered a 2LT RS

I received my notification this morning from CamaroTracking.com that I have a production week of 6/21/2010 - Do you think I still might get it early July or have I been pushed all the way until August?? -

What at the chances?
When does summer shutdown start?
Does that affect Rail/Shipping time?

Or will she built, sitting lonely in someone's yard waiting for me to spring her loose???

Since you are 6/21 - you are likely mid July for delivery.. Congrats!

If you are at 1100, your dealer does not have allocation. Unless he provides you with a specific date that he is allowed to slot your car for ordering - you may want to find a dealer who does.

Ask to talk to the person who orders the cars. When I ordered mine, he sat at a web browser and built the car with me. It came out 1100 on the spot. He then told me that he had allocation for the following week. Sure enough, it went to 2000 that next Tuesday.

Otherwise you will wait and wait... being at 1100 is the same as having all your stuff in a shopping cart.. but you are waiting in line at checkout..

I just called GM and Im at 3000 now with a TPW of 21/06/10!!!!!!

If you have a TPW it will be in the notes section if you are using camaro tracking. Also Becky will tell you if you have one.

Does anyone know if the GM summer shut down affects shipping of completed cars? With having a TPW of 21/06/10, they should be done before the shut down but may sit in the yard until after summer shut down.

Just wondering?

I am at 3000 with a TPW of 6/21. I bought mine from Becky @ Rodgers even tho I live 1,100 miles away from her. Buying from a true Camaro expert and getting a good price more than make up for the distance, at least for me.

I have bought a one-way airline ticket for July 15. Look for me on the highway on my road trip home.

Awesome. Im a 6/14 and need to fly to get mine but havent bought a ticket yet. What if it isnt ready by the 15th? Based on delivery times Ive seen, it should be though.

If it isn't ready, I should know far enough in advance to go to plan B. Now that you mention it, I should come up with a plan B.

Maybe have my sister's 16 year old daughter drive it the 1,100 miles. There could be no chance for trouble with that plan is there?

Hi guys, my TPW is 6/21 too and unfortunately I think we will have late delivery due to the two week shutdown.

I have dealt with this at work with parts from Canada and pretty much the whole country goes into a major slowdown leading up and coming out of the two week vacation, we have actually developed a plan on how to deal with this every year so it doesn't hurt our production.....it's that bad.
I expect my car to come in early August but, my dealer who obviously has the experience of waiting on cars from GM Canada says mid August at the very best.
I really hope they are wrong but, they would only guarantee me I would have it by the first week of September.

We can only wait and see.
I am awaiting a 1SS/RS M6 in Victory Red w./ Silver rally stripes, polished wheels, and Boston Acoustics stereo.

Not quite, a lot of companies do though and this is very common in Europe also.

I wonder about GM's carrying cost of letting my already-built ride sit in a shipping yard for two weeks. They cannot afford that. It would be best for everyone if they just delivered it. That is what I am hoping for.
