Under-steer and the 2010 Camaro

The Pfadt Camaro sway bars required major engineering changes from the factory bar package to eliminate the notorious under-steer. Basic vehicle dynamics say that to eliminate under-steer you must increase the roll stiffness in the rear of the car - our rear bar does exactly that. That's how we achieve such great balance. If a sway bar package offers huge increases in the stiffness of the front bar, your Camaro is going to suffer from increased under-steer compared to the OEM sway bars!

The video below highlights some of the on-car testing that went into our sway bars. This video is a demo to show how much you can affect the balance of the car with swaybar changes. The day we shot this video, we tested a several packages which is a critical part of proving our engineering before building the product.

Pfadt Race Engineering Performance Rear Trailing Arms

The Pfadt 2010 Camaro Rear Trailing Arms were developed using the latest analysis software which enabled us to increase strength by 106% while simultaneously reducing mass by 17%. The decrease in trailing arm mass allows the suspension to react more quickly to the changing road surface keeping the tire in contact with the road to increase traction. Through further analysis and testing we were able to achieve a 32% reduction deflection which helps decrease wheel hop and increase traction even further.

Included with this kit is our leading edge Trailing Arm Bushing Kit. Utilizing lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum sleeves that are hard anodized to create incredible surface hardness and microscopic pores to hold our special grease. These sleeves are then Teflon coated to further reduce friction. This is then coupled with our graphite impregnated polyurethane bushing which uses deep grease grooves to hold and continuously re-lubricate the surfaces for long and quiet operation. The result is an ultra lightweight, ultra-low friction joint that is 42% lighter than the OE bushing and more durable then ever before. This kit includes the bushing for both the trailing arm and also the upright for a complete performance trailing arm upgrade.

The final arm is the result of four stages of precision manufacturing; CNC machining of the bushing housing, Laser cutting of the intricate panels, CNC bending and TIG welding to finish the assembly. All of this is accomplished right here in the USA.

Pfadt Differential Bushings hold the differential in place by replacing the soft factory rubber bushings. The kit will help protect the differential and is an absolute must for handling the added power of a super charger or high horsepower motor.

Made in the USA our bushing and sleeve kit provides superior quality and durability. The sleeves are made from 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum and anodized orange.

An important upgrade for dialing-out wheel hop, this kit is a great addition to any performance Camaro. The installation is involved, but the results are well worth the effort.
