Pocono 500 thread- Camaro pace car!

I wasn't sure if anybody was following today's Pocono 500 race, but we can have a race watching thread here. The cool thing is the Camaro pace car!

Well, not sure if it's because the Camaro is the pace car, but you will roll on the floor laughing your ass off over the new Gillette Fusion mullett commercial!! Must see!!

Until the rain starts.. I like that track because I have also driven a NASCAR around that track at 170mph. Best time of my life.

However, that track is terrible to watch from the stands. You can see about 1/3 of the race track if your lucky. And the roads to and from the track are not capable of handling the level of traffic that the race requires.

Very cool! I have been to the track, but it was for a Harley Owner's Group rally back in '87, and not a race.
Looks like rain now!:(

Sounds like the start to this one is going to be a couple hours yet - if they can race today at all.

Yeah, that track is in the middle of nowhere.

Pace car is beautiful.

Rain is moving through pretty quickly. I think they'll race today.

Here in York County, PA (a couple of hours away from the track) we are under a tornado watch until 8:00pm. I don't expect to see a full race at this point.

Hey stingrayj, what part of the York area are you in? I get up to Mt. Wolf regularly to a model car club, and get up to the fairgrounds once in a while. I'm about an hour away from York, in New Holland.

THANKS!!!

What a horrific wreck at the end...glad everyone walked away from that one...

How about Joey Logano 'telling it like it is' to Kevin Harvick and the comment that Joey made about Kevin's wife...

What an exciting race...good for Denny...bad for 'my guy', Jeff Gordon finishing 32nd after getting caught up in that last lap crash...:(

I live in Hanover and work in York.

I missed the end of the race due to "a very scary baby bunny" running around in the backyard. You gotta love kids. Was hoping Jr. could pull off a better finish with a 3rd place qualifying run, though.

wow, i didn't see the pace car. White!
Geez. logano sure through a fit. He drives in front of Harvick, without clearing him, and he's suprised he got spun. That's racing boy! You can't cut someone off. Does he have a driver's license even?
Once again Dale jr doin' nothing.
