ET Time Question

Hey y'all. I have a 2011 2SS L99. Mods are: Cold Air Intake, LT Headers, Cat-Back Exhaust, NoWeeds, Ported Throttle Body, Performance Spark Plugs, 160° Stat, Tune, Throttle Controller, and Drag Radials. I think that's all. I normally run with the NoWeeds open, so open headers. The best I've ever ran is a 12.71 @109 with a 1.89 60' .09 RT. Pretty cold out that night. That was on Nitto 555R's. I have new MT ET Street II's that I need to get more passes on. Anyways, do y'all think that's a little slow of a time? I am 6'5 350lbs, but I didn't think that would make that much of a difference. They had a guy at the track the other night with just about the same done to his car(he claimed) on stock tires that ran a 12.2x. These two nights were many months apart, just was wondering if something seemed off to y'all?

I'm 230lbs. ...my best so far was 12.9@ 110.8 mph with a 2.0 60ft. I'm still learning my car.....and thats on street tires. So im thinking yes its a bit off. Your mph seems low. But I'm just going by my limited seat time. I'm sure the members in the know will get you on the right track.

You have an A6 or M6? I know that makes a difference too. That other guy had an A6 as well. I don't understand how some cars go so much faster. Could it be something to do with the tune?

Yep I fail to see any benefit in a throttle body controller, but some guy's think there the best thing since sliced bread.

A6. Who tunes your car? I went 12.37@112 on a 1.85. I went 12.7@110 on stock tires and a 1.92.

I am having the same issue but I am pretty sure its a driver mod and not the car. I am running high 12's at about 113-116 MPH on a LS3 M6. My issue is my 60 ft time. I average a 2.1-2.2. Your 60ft seems like a decent time to run a little better than 12.7. Interested to see what you figure out.

I thought I replied to this a while back, but I guess not. I didn't have the throttle controller when I made that pass. I have it now though. I can easily just set it to stock when I'm at the track.

Tune was over 2 years ago, but it was Lethal Racing(which is closed down now). Last time I went to the track, I ran no better than a 13.0x.....could not get better than a high 2.0x 60' with these new MT ET Street II's I have. And it was only 60° or so out.

If it were me, I'd get with Ryan Stevens at GPI and have him go over your tune. Every little bit counts when trying to go low 12's stock internal (stock converter).

or add a converter and retune and go for high 11's.

I went 11.84 stock internal but that was also with a gear and a converter. I could have gone 11.6 but I moved on to H/C.

Don't really plan on spending more money on this car anymore. I plan on getting a 6th Gen eventually. I thought tunes were locked by shops?
