got my 2010 ss auto car into 12.80's

Went to drag strip for the second time with my 2010 SS auto car, has a set of OBX headers and OBX 3" exhaust, hp tuners programmer and just added a CAI. First time we went was last fall, I couldnt get car out of the 14.0's ( I weigh 285 and had 190 lb GF in car with me to get her familar with starting line etc in a easy to drive, slow street car as I cant take her down the strip in any of my other cars). My 185 lb son made a best pass of 13.78 that day also. He added a few degrees of timing and car just had increased KR. It was spinning the stock tires like it was on ice if you tried to launch it hard. 2.20-2.30 60 foot times.
Fast forward to yesterday, since last year I added a CAI. Ran car down to fumes Fri night, put in 3 gallons of 110 octane and filled to very top with Shell 93 in a attempt to get car to get some form of traction as we could not get it to hook last year at starting line. has the original rear tires on it still from 1999 with 25,000 miles on them, getting down to tread bars.I also stopped and bought a 50 lb bag of floor dry and put it in trunk as ballast. Drove 70 miles to the race track, first few runs car ran a average of 13.50, launching at idle , stabbing throttle, absolutely no tire spin. Took floor dry out, car ran 13.40's. Put 110 lb lighter son in car, ran high 13.20's. Added 2 degrees of timing EVERYWHERE with programmer, car ran into the 13 flats, any where from low 13.0s with son in it to a best of 13.07 with me in it, showed .4 degrees of KR around 5800-6000. Added 2 more degrees of timing everywhere below 5600 rpms, I immediately ran a 12.97 , son ran a 12.89, no KR except a again a .2-.4 degrees here and there up top. Made several more passes and my best was 12.89 at 108.06, 1.95 60 foot, 8.35 1/8th miles, the kid being young and skinny ran a best of 12.83 at 109, 1.98 60 ft. I was pretty happy overall, we still dont know what else we can do with the hp tuner and other parameters on car, we have tuned other simpler efi stuff in past but this one has alot of thing we just dont know wtf can be changed. We added and subtracted some fuel last year and it made zero difference at the track.

Before leaving we took the 2nd 2 degrees down to just 2 degrees over stock and I made 2 passes one, 13.27 and one 13.40, kid made one pass and ran a 13.17. Put it back to stock and I made a final pass before leaving and ran 13.48. Car seems to l.ike timing and a little race gas seems nto keep it from knocking. Now, next time we will have my new Nitto 555r 275/20's on and Im thinking a colder tstat plus actually make timing changes in specific areas vs just throwing it at it everywhere! We also used the hp tuners to turn off the displacement on demand bs when we put headers on last year.

The 555Rs will help, I went 12.37 1.85 on mine with bolt-ons. Best I could muster on stock tires was 12.7's.

John, what else did you tweak on your tune when you ran 12.37s?

Playing with hp tuners yesterday i started reading about the engine tq management and saw how it limited it from 3000 down, turned it up 20% higher, took it out on the road and car feels like a animal, i think with traction car will be at least 3 tenths faster. Wish we would have done that at the track!!

Tune wise...

-Slightly raised shift points
-Turn fans on sooner
-Reduce torque management
