Watched the video, and the car looks kind of slow. Have you considered adding an aftermarket CAI? Maybe even headers? Just sayin'.

It's time for an updated sig. Do you have any really good shots you can send me? I have 2 or 3 to finish this weekend, so I can put something together for you. Also send me a list of 10 or so mods you want listed. Impossible to list everything...I don't have any microscopic fonts on my computer.

Yeah, my wife thought it was slow too - you can tell by the video... lol

Actually the CAI is a good idea. A guy asked me yesterday "what the heck is done to that, it doesn't sound stock." I told him it was a chip and mufflers.

I can send you shots of me mooning people on a bus - is that the kind of shots you want? I dunno. There are all of those studio shots. Maybe a good one will pop up over the next few days once we can drive around a little.

10 or so mods. Hmmm. Upgraded: Safety equipment, engine, controls, fuel system, exhaust, transmission, rear end, suspension, tires/wheels, "other" systems. Not upgraded: Driver

Heck, I don't know. LSX, TT, 38 psi.

We really, really, really want to but it doesn't look good at the moment. :(The reason is that a year in advance we book our vacation with our whole extended family and it falls at the end of July/beginning of August. Due to the summer dates of C5FestIII this year, it is hard to be in two places at once and this may be the last year with my father and that is of utmost importance. We are trying to figure out some options, but it is a tough one.

We had seriously thought about seeing if someone from Florida wanted to tow up our race trailer with the SST in it, but thought about the liability issues and didn't want that burden on anyone. It's no one's fault. Just a major date conflict. If anyone has a spare C-130 to chuck it on and go to Indy, that would work...

I love when people walk up and ask me if my car's stock.

I was with a friend getting our Camaros washed, and I left before her. Some guy standing next to her said, "that car's all sound...it doesn't have any power". She had to educate him a bit.

Thanks a bunch A !! Glad you got to go for that ride. That really was cool since you had stopped by SOOOO many times and there was always some SNAFU...

I plan on putting some 'fun' miles on it this weekend. Get some good seat time. Tropical Storm Debby finally passed through yesterday. So, right after dark, I had my wife take the car out for a spin. Said it was just like a stock Camaro (except for all the different sounds) until you push the pedal harder. She was really amazed how easy it is to drive. Really like how 'flat' it turns. Made her push the pedal hard enough just once to get it right at the edge of boost so that she could here the BOV's. She thought that was the coolest. She had only driven it 4 miles when we first got it in 2009 so the 6 mile drive last night is a record !

Originally I wanted this car to look 100% stock, idle stock, get 25 mpg and pump out 1000 hp, but at this stage it was decided to kick it up a notch. So you have now seen that heads were changed and upgraded for considerably higher flow capacity. Something about a motor making so much power should not idle like it's electric, so the decision was made to chuck the hydraulic roller LS7 cam and run a solid roller with a NASCAR valvetrain. So the heads are now topped with nascar springs and a full T&D shaft roller rocker setup. This setup has proven to be bulletproof and should last for 100,000 miles with no problem.

All downhill...

So the power has gone up a tad, but should still be able to get decent mileage. Give me a few weeks and somewhere along the line we can drive it like 'normal' humans and check the mileage. But at this early stage we are definitely not 'normal' and have no plans to drive like a Gerber Baby.

There's an oil change place around the corner from my house... I stop in every now and then and visit... I was leaving there one day and a guy told me to jump on it in their parking lot... I did, right over the newly painted arrows... The manager told me the next time I was in there that if it had been anyone else, he would have called the cops... Stripes are still there...
