Hey -

Haven't been on for a little with all of the things going on at the office...

The SST is progressing nicely now. The diff/axles are at NRE, the engine harness for the dyno is done and just waiting for the engine on the dyno now to be finished and then the SST engine goes on for some supertuning.

As soon as that is done, it gets coatings, goes back in the car, we stick in the driveshaft, put on the hood, grille and splitter, and then it's Road Tuning time !!! Definitely getting closer...

OK...I've decided this vehicle is a myth...like the unicorn, Bigfoot or an honest politician.

I won't actually believe it exists until I can see it in person and take it down the track!

Get in line! A lot of us have been following this build for over a year and reading "soon." It will be worth the wait though, I'm sure!

I can't wait to see this special beast of a car. Thank goodness I live in AZ where the Fest is being held this year. So a quick trip up to Firebird is very easy.

I plan on having my camera with 3 or 4 memory cards, and I know they'll all give filled up. I wouldn't doubt if I fill 1 up with just this car...

I've got an idea take the Cadi emblem off and replace it with a big "H". Please, don't tell me this is how the new CTS-V's are going to look.

When I was down there I actually got to touch part of the SST....

I felt the ground tremble as I held the piece in my hand...

My car was even a little more "peppy" for the ride home....

It is actually a mirage. Hence "SST" the middle S does in fact stand for "Stealth". You don't really see it coming or going, you just feel it.

Hey, if you see it before I do can you send me some pics... At this rate, the first time I get to drive it may be from the shop to the entrance at C5Fest2.

Bruce,

wait until you see your axles in person... OMG...

I just got back from the shop playing with and looking at all my parts to install.... OMG, the Axles are absolutely huge.... I ended up with the DSS 1400 HP rated axles, and they are simply amazing... the rest of the parts are cool, but I still can't get over the axles....you could drive a battleship with these things...

GTA is actually keeping secrets way beyond the Camaros - and he's pretty darn good at it.

Don't know as much about the DSS 1400 axles sounds like they may be somewhat similar. I am sure you can use them as spare baseball bats... I do know that the ones Chris did specifically for the SST are definitely in the ridiculous category.
