Bruce, got an update on the SST for us? is it assembled now?

Just got off the phone with the gang. Everyone is working like crazy.
It is thrash week ! Coming along nicely. Only snag so far is the tranny yoke. It is special dimensions and the one that was sent is NOT billet. Trying to get a billet one machined.

Yes, Bruce, your Yoke needs to be 'special'. J/K

You are single handedly causing Camaro's all over the C5 forum to Mod like crazy after reading your thread..

There's some serious cool aid flowing from this thread..
I had a drink from it and ordered a really nice roll cage after I saw photo's of your's.. LOL

Dang, Bruce. You do know how to prolong the drama.

Fingers crossed that your yoke arrives on time. You and I might both be bumming rides at the fest. - nah... it's going to all work out.

Oh we have the yoke that was sent, but that could snap an any given time with a hard launch. Gotta get that resolved pronto !

Oh yeah, we had to twist your arm to get that beautiful cage of yours.

Glad you did it though, aren't ya ? It came out great.

Uh oh.. I got the BS flag.. Where's booger when you need him?

No arm twisting required here, my friend...
I'm jazzed for the fest and bored tonight, now that I don't have my car to work on. Kind of like an upper and downer at the same time.. LOL

I AM very happy I got the the cage. The local drag racers were drooling all over it when I went to get the chassis inspection done. Even the mustang guys were commenting on how nice it came out. Dan Page Race Cars does awesome work with tubing.

I just wish I could have driven the car here before it had to get loaded for the fest. I have a brand new rear end and the cage and only drove the car less than 100 feet..
I don't know how much the handling has changed with the MODS I did over the winter.. I will find out soon enough at the fest.

You're in great shape. Speedster hasn't driven his car in over a year. I wonder if the way his car handles will have changed much?

I crack myself up!

I havn't driven mine since October 10th from last year.. Been working on it since then.

My car sure felt different when I went to drop it off to get loaded on the transporter this afternoon.. it was wet out, and the tires have been in storage all winter, so I am going to have to wait till next Wednesday out in Phoenix to drive it and shake out the bugs and cobwebs.

It will at least be dry, being a desert... I hope!

And yes, Bruce is starting from scratch with everything new and nothing setup yet. It will take time to adjust and get everything to his liking.. but that's the fun part. Using it and playing with what you have.

Hey, Thanks. Bring that when you come, we may need it...

Yeah, it's going to be fun. Haven't driven the SST since July 2009.

Luckily have been keeping up driving other FI vehicles. Remember the pics of the office parking lot ? Those Friday afternoon burnouts. GTA did one there too !!
