Used 2SS Price?

How much should I have to pay for a used 2SS? I found one that had about 3,000 miles on it and they were asking $36k for it. Hell I could get a new one for that price.

I ran into the same thing yesterday. I went to the dealer and they had a Demo car with 3,000 miles on it but they were still asking $36,625 which was sticker price. I talked them down $1,000 but I still feel like that is still too much to pay for a Used SS with 3k miles on it.

Then I talked about just ordering a new one for that price and the salesman tried telling me that I was going to pay an extra $4-5,000 because the new 2011's went up in price and they havn't started making them yet. I tried to tell him they had started making them already and they weren't going up in price, I know that thanks to this site, but he knew it all so I didn't get anywhere with him.

What should we pay for a used 2010 2SS/RS with 3,000 miles on it and the sticker is at $36,625?

Sounds like a little too much to me should be asking about 30,000

Have to throw the flag on this one.
The 2011 pricing is out and the only change is to add $350 to the 2LT and 2SS package, probably due to the addition of HUD.
The dealers here have employee pricing on all GM vehicles, and the ad shows a $24,525 LS for $21,995. If they are discounting new Camaros $2500, then a used one should also be much less.

Also, they have started building 2011 models as of 6/7. I have a 2011 on order with a TPW of 6/21.
I suspect the salesman is not that dumb, he just hopes you are.

Thats what Im saying, he either honestly didnt know and just assumed they hadnt started making them and they were goin to be more expensive or just lied right to my face about it.

I knew they started making the 2011's before I even went in there because I read it on this site and I tried telling him that. I also read about the changes and pricing and I dont think he wanted to believe me. But what do I know... Im just a 23yo trying to buy a new car.

I wouldnt mind buying this one if it was at a good price but for what they are asking I could order a new one and be far better off. I would also have the addition of a Hurt shifter and HUD with a new one

If you buy a new 2011, Do not pay over invoice. When the 2010 came out some dealers where charging a premium over invoice. Try emailing becky @ rogerchevolet in woodhaven michigan. She is a premium sponser here. (just search rogerchevrolet) And, she will also ship it to you. I don't know if she has any used. But I seen in the local paper there ad claimed they had a few still new Camaro's. I ordered 2SS RJT (xtra 325.00) LS3 w/Polished 20" (xtra 470.00) pirelli's (minus discounts) I paid $35.500 but you might get a little discount on a 2010 just to move it off the lot.
Good luck, Don't be in a hurry to except just any deal.

I traded mine in for 31k... 2SS/RS L99 and they were asking around 35K... on the used lot... so there's some room to play.

Money must be no object to some of our members. Why would you pay $37,000 and then sell your car for $30,000 after 4 months. I sure would not sell mine for that little. There must be some consideration for the added mods and such.

He said he bought it 4 mos ago for 30K (solid deal IMO)... Who knows why the original owner traded it in. The guy who traded it in no doubt got less than 30K for it.

fyi... bought it from the owner. not a dealer. the couple (early-mid 40's i'd say) was getting rid of it because they had a 67 (show car) and a 69 camaro (drag car), and "three camaros was just too many". They had the car for 8 months and only put 5,000 miles on it, and thankfully, did not mod a single thing.

30K would have been all I could have gotten in a quick private sale... Trade in worked out better since I saved taxes on the next car...

So you say you want ABM.... then you'll have to pay for it.

Whatever they are asking I guess.

These questions are based on individual opinion. You 'Should' expect to pay whatever the market dictates. Simple as that. If it's worth it to you, do it, if it's not, then don't.

I'm selling mine. But it doesn't sound like you'd be the buyer.

IDK about the OP but I just wanted to see what these used ones were going for with about 3,000 miles on it. I knew that $1k under the sticker priced seemed too much and now I know. With other dealers on this site I can get brand new ones for $1k Under sticker.

Me personally I want a Summit White 2SS/RS, 6spd, two tone gray/black interior. The rest of the options I'm not too picky about.

I realize being in Canada our prices are higher, but the principle is the same. I was going to buy a used 2SS/RS but they wanted $45,995 with 6000 KM (3600 Miles). They would Not budge, so I went and bought the exact car new for $45,400 (No Stripes). I Don't get it!? Their Loss.

Used ones are being bought well above wholesale and put on KIA, SUBARU, and other "non-Chevrolet"lots, because they bring people in. Why do we not have any used Camaro's on our lot? Simple, the new ones are about the same price.

You're in Texas, there are dealers down there selling for invoice or GM preferred pricing...it wouldn't make any sense to have one shipped in.

What he said... Mine is still on the Chevy lot for the same reasons stated.
