VS a hellcat

well not exactly, but I want one ... bad. instead of losing like 20k on my bolt on cammed 2011 L99 and then paying the 40k difference to get into a hellkitten. what could i do to my camaro to make it competitive with a hellcat? and i know itd cost less than paying the difference for one. just slap on a SC?

right now headers , exhaust, CAI, rough idle blower cam, wheels and radials.

I would say any mod that will give you 625 to 650 rwhp.

Get the super charger it'll give you that extra boost (no pun intended) to walk the *****cat. frankly the stock ZL1 with a good driver can hang very close to a *****cat with less HP. Slap us on a road course and your current setup is fine though.

I guess it varies from each persons intended use, "typically" my buddies and I don't usually say hey let's see who can take this 90 degree turn the fastest lol it's mostly roll racing but don't get me wrong we do autox, drags, and road race (sparingly). This is why I'm so googoo over the hellcat despite its handling flaws

She's running mid 10's now. I haven't got to run my ZL1 yet with the new mods. Might be ready in one more week. The first link was my wife running against the new hellcat.

There are lots of 1.9 takeoff blowers from LSA's that are reasonably priced. They will easily make the power to walk a Hellcat. ADM sells a kit to fit the blower

I think a guy would need more displacement to make that power N/A. With the blower you can make that power and the car remain very street able as well

The hellcat is severely back ordered, so it's doubtful you'll actually get one anytime soon.

More reason to sink some cash into making what you have even more badass.

The main reason for the back order is the supplier of the supercharger is a little slow.

Crazy running ZL1, but its modded with slicks VS stock tire car. A LSA conversion could be a great idea, but you would be still short on power without all the 'upgrades' you can buy for the LSA package.

Wait for the new ZL1 or buy a real ZL1 IMO. VVT H/C L99 guys are running low 11s BTW.

Ur wife is one hell of a driver, you guys represent Chevy to the max my hats off hell of a way to run! My heart was freakin racing watching that vid. I used to street race and no longer do (having children opened my eyes) but I only get to enjoy 2 months of the year on 1/8 track in lubbock tx which sucks! I really get the itch some time to revert but my children are a constant reminder!

Depending on the Hellcat driver you might be able to beat a manual Hellcat on street tires with a bolton or bolton/cam Camaro.

But against an automatic bad kitty with DRs you will have to run at least a bit into the 10s. The HC has about 635 RWHP, but it weighs 4,500 pounds.

Not too hard to get into the 10s if you spend enough $$ and start with an L99 SS.
