I think he has more room. Don't settle for a year old car. I would hope they will have a rebate on the 2010 soon.

Yeah I would assume so. I even did everything right; I went in there told them my price I wanted which at first was 31k OTD and then I even increased to 32k OTD. They wouldn't budge so I left. Beats the hell outta me.

You needed to get up and tell them that they are dreaming on a car that is already over a year old for that price and tell them you can order a new 2011 for that price and it won't be a year old when you drive it away, and walk out.

I'm so discouraged lol. I'm just gonna wait till end of this month. I need time to collect all the money anyways. I think my FINAL prices are as followed (let me know if they are out of line):

1LT/RS -> $27,000 OTD
2LT/RS -> $30,000 OTD

Yeah you're right. But hopefully one of the two remaining dealers in Jacksonville will actually stop me and give me that price lol. DId you see the price I set above? Is it reasonable?

I think the best you can do for a 2010 is about a grand off of sticker. Take a calculator with you and a piece of paper and pen. subtract $1000 from sticker add title and multiply times 7% for tax. add together and there is your out the door price. Also make sure your interest rate is LOW. If you can't get it done remind them that the car is over a year old when you drive it off and you can get a NEW one with what you wan in it for MSRP! If they want to sell you a car and they see you are serious they will make the deal. If not, don't be afraid to walk out. They like to play the waiting game. Tell them there are dealers that WANT to sell cars and you will go to another one.

I dont think any dealer is going to "break even" or tell you what the break even point is. I had recently had a very pleasant conversation with my dealer. This would have normally been a tense situation for most dealer customer relationships. Anyway, I was quoted 34k drive out on a 2LT/RS (over the phone.) He explained why and what he could offer me for the 1LT, not a loss that I was willing to take. Oh and by the way... telling the dealer how rare an ABM is going to be is not terribly effective. LOL.

So you feel that the 2LT/RS @ 33k OTD is a pretty good deal?

Im not sure what a good deal is from that conversation. I'm sure he was not going to talk lower price over the phone. I didnt really expect him too. Have you gone to Chevrolet website and tried to price out your car through the "Build your own?"

No way Larry. 33k is too much and like every one else is saying, the 2011's are already on it's way to the lot pretty soon. I got my 2LT/RS for 30k OTD, like I said earlier. You just gotta negotiate and know what you're going to say.

Yeah true. I'm just going to wait for the 2011 to come in. I'm not hard pressed for a new car and I'll just leave the money in the bank. Hopefully by then I can get a 2LT/RS for 30k OTD.

Eric Blue:

Yeah I have. But I'm looking to get it at dealers invoice.

I have a quick question for everyone: is dealer invoice price the same for EVERY dealer?

Best advise I can give you is if there are asking MSRP for a 2010 just go ahead and get a 2011 and screw the 2010 since in a little less than 6 months it will be considered last years model...and if you do get the 2LT/RS you will also get the Hud display since its standard now on all 2011 2LT and 2SS models...I think the dealers all think they can play you but don't let them!

So how much are people paying for their 2011 1LT/RS or 2011 2LT/RS OTD? Survey time

Dont know the numbers for sure but its like a $350 price increase on the MSRP for a 2010 or something like that...so not that much of a difference i would guess...

You want an automatic, correct? $30k OTD with Auto is a little low I think. I think at invoice you will be around $31,800 OTD assuming no other options then RS and Auto. Have you checked out truecar.com? Build your car then click "show best price".
