Large number of posts missing?

Has anybody seen a huge loss of post count? When I logged in today about 500 posts were missing from my count.

To me it dose'nt matter what my count is. I see a few people on here give one or two word comments in ALOT of threads and I am sure it is just to get their post counts up.

Well it looks like Zebra's Two Word Game thread was deleted. A new one was started by a mod to replace it apparently..? not sure why.

There was a thread for a few days up with a poll. It had the reasoning behind the deletion of the word game threads.

Ah well I didn't see it. Is it still available to read? What was the reasoning?

I lost about 2000 posts when the 2 and 3 word games were deleted...didn't care about my post counts, just enjoyed playing the games with the same people every night...I am glad they at least started new 2 and 3 word games again...

It looks like some threads were deleted completely, while others where simply closed. Why were some of the game threads deleted just to start them over again fresh? Is it a memory/space issue?

The amount of word games were just getting ridiculous.

We decided to limit it to just one or two. You guys can still have fun. But the 1,2,3,4,5,6....... word games were just too much.

I agree about it getting too much, but whyd you delete them and not just close them?

Probably good for the health of the forum n e ways, if you know how these things work, when you load a thread, you may only see 1 page, but in the background the entier thread and all its data is loaded from the DB, even the best service around can find it self choking on only 1-2 threads with 1000s of post that are popular.
