Retro '69 Quarter Panel Moldings Install

Installed RetroUSA's '69 style Quarter Panel Moldings (aka Gill Louvers) - easy install took 20 minutes including cleaning area before applying moldings which come with 3M tape attached.

Great quality though pricey but they are true to the '69 style I was looking for...

They stick out perhaps 1/4 or maybe 1/3 inch at most - they fit into the raised portion of the gill and leave the indented portion visible. The 3M tape on the product immediately adhered and I intend to let them "cure" for a few days (eg no driving in rain or hand washing the car which I did before install)

Updated with pictures - you'll see they don't stick out much at all.

defenderworx fuel door has been on since June of '09 so it has dibs - guess "too much going on" will have to be for a while.

Saw these at a Chevy car show over the weekend. I think we have similar tastes as far as the modern/retro balance goes. Im thinking of getting them as well but having the chrome portion painted body color (Mine is also SIM)

I think it would look even cooler with the fad to black gills in there with that.

Thanks - been traveling so sorry for the delayed response - I bought an acrylic paint red, white, blue and black but haven't had a chance to test my artistic skills yet - will let you know when its done.

Thanks - well worth the wait though a bit pricey - they are well made if you're still considering the cowl vents.

Thanks all who commented either way - I like them and that's all that matters...
