370Z and Camaro SS

Did anyone cross shop these two cars before buying? Obviously I'm a Camaro guy, I've owned 2 already...a Gen 3, and a Gen 4....but the 370Z interior really strikes me as does the gas mileage. Anyone drive both? How did they compare? Funny enough there are no incentives on either of them, so interest will have to be paid. Also checked out the IS350 from Lexus.

370z is going to be more fun... but now as BA as a camaro and will not have a v8 rumble... but does have a nice high pict tone...

370z = fast and great handling looks cool , 2 seats (sports )

SS = fast nice engine, look cool .. but lack handling 4 seats ( muscle )

Yeah tough call. If the Camaro had a 2010 looking interior (obviously, being a Camaro fa myself I KNOW this wasn't the idea) I'd be all over it. The 370Z interior INSIDE the SS would be perfect...but I think they call that a Corvette.

I looked but expected a bit better mileage from a naturally aspirated 6. Plus that thing with options gets freakin' expensive.......that and my mother works at the Chevrolet dealership!

Camaro SS - more mod friendly (low to mid 12s with simple basic mods)
Camaro SS - more room (back seat, trunk)
Camaro SS- cool factor - its a Camaro SS

370z - yuppie styling (still looks just like a 350z with minor tweaks)
370z - handles well
370z - interior

Biker chicks, hooters girls, bascially hot girls in general, love Camaros

They're pretty slow.

I was running on low octane yesterday at the track (Thank my friend again) trapping at about 102 running 14s and I still beat one by about seven tenths of a second.... He was running like 14.7, 14.8 at 96~

looks just like a 350z but a little lighter. personnally i like that nismo race version with the rims and spoiler. if i wasnt such a camaro guy i mightve considered one of those. im sure they are still loads of fun and get way better mileage. too bad for nissan i come from the gas guzzler era, ill stick with my 14.7mpg happily.

I was looking at a 370z Nismo but I picked a SS Camaro because the camaro has a back seat. 360+ HP V6 FTW

PS they are not slow. Research it before you post.

Don't you mean 330 hp V6?

edit: nvm you said nismo. but didn't that only get like a 10 hp boost? also its alot slower than it is supposed to be considering it ran seconds behind the camaro around a couple of tracks

The Nismo is Approx 360

Oh I'm sorry. Maybe I should go read on the internet how things should be instead of actually seeing some in person and seeing how they run.

You stick to your ricer math, I'll stick to first hand experience.

Still, 14.7-14.8 is terribly slow. They usually trap 13's flat

for the price difference you could add a good suspension set up and run even bigger circles around a 370z. the handling on the camaro is good, just upgrading the sway bars and bushings will give it remarkable handling.

the 370z should only be compared with a v6 camaro just like chevy does on their website:

Haha, no...It runs low 13's and could run circles around a stock v6 maro because of weight, grip, and handling. If you want to talk mods, let's throw some fi on the z and let's see who's laughing then

i think the op was leaning towards the 370z because of how important the interior and feel means to him... so when you guys talk about modding or bringing it to the track, that kinda misses the point...

I'm pretty sure the stock Nismo will beat your l99 bud.

PS I think you missed me mentioning I've driven one, which I think I would consider that seeing some in person and seeing how they run.

Stock vs stock it depends on the driver. Hands down thats how it is. Deny it all you want but its the truth

Did you bother to read my posts? He claimed that "you could add a good suspension set up" to the ss to run circles around a 370z. I was just pointing out how ridiculous it is to talk about mods, because you can mod any car to be fast. He also made a ridiculous claim about a z being comparable to a v6 maro when it's not even close.

idk about that stock vs stock that camaro driver has to be a poor driver for the 370 to win. now the 370 nismo would be closer with its 350 hp rating but still the camaro should beat it
