You've really taken some good ones. I really like the chrome air box, even though there's no way that I will be getting an intake yet.

Does anyone know how it is going to come? There are pictures of it in white, gloss black and black leather. Although, when I ordered it, there was only one option. Just wondering if it will only come one way or if orders will have to be updated.

The tiny asterisk in the pic says "The hurst Shifter knob is a concept part" meaning, it probably won't be available. I think JohnnyCamaro confirmed the hurst knob will use the stock knob.

Damnit! I guess I can just find a white knob and screw it on. Yikes, that doesn't sound right.

I believe it was confirmed that the short thrown hurst shifter would be available with an "optional" t-handle, pistol grip or ball knob. Without upgrading to one of these options then the original factory knob is what you get.

Also, there are many options that you can get directly from Hurst.

Was the air box metal or chromed plastic? I think I'd prefer metal but think that the plastic air box wouldn't heat soak as much. I like the polished tubes too.

I wonder if it was made clear whether-or-not that catback was the off-road version or the street version? Also, was it 2.5-inch or 3.0-inch?

Cool pics'!!! I'm going to have to find that post so I can get those questions answered, unless someone else here knows

why would you want your air box to soak in the heat? hot box = sucking hot air?

wouldn't it be better to have a box that doesnt conduct heat very well? i'm thinking plastic tube CAI w/ carbon fiber heat shield

I would only prefer metal because, to me, it's less cheap looking. You're right about the heat conduction but the air doesn't stay too long in there at WOT anyways. As long as it has some sort of cold air feed from the fender or something, and no restrictions (like baffles or resonators) I'll be happy. I think an open element filter may have a better cool factor but keeping water out would be more problematic. I I like the dry filter that we're getting. I think I'd like it more if the airbox weren't chrome. Keep it raw plastic black. It's not too big a deal for me, either way
