Need some help

I have a wager with a guy I work with (hes a ford fan) And I need some info.
I need stock info on 2001 SS and Z28 HP numbers, cant seem to find them online, and Average price for the cars. These need to be bone stock numbers. I'll take numbers for modified or SLP additions, but make sure you note that they aren't stock. If I'm right I could take $50 from him lol .

Edmunds

"Rated in the F-car at 305 horsepower from the outset in the '98s, the LS1 is the baddest factory small-block that Chevrolet has ever produced. For 2001, the LS1 is rated at 310 horsepower in standard Z28s and T/As. Add the SLP content to the picture and the prognosis for Mustang boys gets even more grim."

The 2001 Camaro SS came with a 325 HP LS1 . The 2001 Camaro Z28 was rated 310 HP with the same engine.

Base sticker for a 2001 Z-28 Coupe was $21,645. http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread...sticker+window. The SS performance/Appearance Option listed for $3950 on top of that. These are MSRP. Most people I know were paying a little over invoice at the time.

That I can build my V6 up too 500+ hp for less overall cost then buying a v8 and doing the same. Amount includes cost of car on todays market, modifications, ect.

Yes. Many LS1 owners had their cars dynoed stock and got the "rated" 310hp to the wheels. More evidence of this is that the 2004 GTO, which had the exact same motor, was rated at 350hp.
