Stripes

Looking at getting stripes for my IOM 2LT, and I'm not sure if I should go with Gloss Black or Flat Black.

What do you guys/gals think? Gloss or Flat Black Stripes to go with the Inferno Orange Metallic?

Gloss would go better with the IOM, unless you are wanting the two tone stripe effect....

When stripes are added at the dealer, are they usually flat black?

GM only has flat black stripes. That's why I went with Cyber Grey Metallic gloss stripes on my IOM. I like the gloss look better, just personal opinion.

Ehhhh, not really a fan....
More a fan of Orange Stripes on a White Car, rather then White on Orange.

Solid body paint, i.e., Black, Vic Red, etc: Painted gloss metallic stripes
Metallic body paint, i.e., SIM, IOM, Painted gloss non-metallic stripes

Dude, I still owe you some wiring pics (which I haven't gotten to yet work's been hell), but, MAKE SURE you check every detail and dust nib in your paint when finished. I mean check down to how they mask off your car, if they bake the finish, disassemble your car, etc etc etc. I can not stress enough how important this is!!

I'm STILL arguing back and forth with the shop that did mine. Do NOT settle for a hack job. My car has spent a total of 4 weeks (to include weekends) in this hack shop to get it right. They were getting the dirt nibs out and fisheyes the last trip. I can live with my paint now and got my monies worth out of them.

You just don't want a shop that acts like their doing YOU a favor by fixing THEIR f'up! my .02 FWIW.

Whoa! Holy sh**. Dirt nibs...fish eyes? WTF!

Bro, isn't there a good reputable paint shop in your area? Most people have several to choose from and its a matter of getting the best price.

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to see your car that way. Good luck...I wish you the best on that.

Wow man, this really sucks. If I get the stripes I'll have them painted by a reputable shop I know of, no worries, but thanks for the heads up.
Pics are much appreciated whenever you get them for the Burners
