Pics Added! - Savini SM4s and Nitto NT05s!

Special thanks to Eric at Wheel Studio - I know I tested his patience. Went with straight black SM4 monos, as these are one of the lightest wheels I was able to find. Settled on the Nitto NT05s - 315/35-20s out back and 275/40-20s up front. Challenge was finding the damn Nittos - the 315s are on back order with no estimated availability. Almost had to settle for Invos or all 4 275s. Believe it or not, I found the NT05 315s at a tire shop in Canada!!! Don't ask what I had to pay to get them down here...Having them sent to Eric to mount, balance - including new TPMS hardware.

Can't wait to get them on the car and then get to the track (Thunderhill road course)!!!!!!! I'll post pics as soon as their on. Also installing Brembo slotted rotors and Hawk pads...

Thanks again Eric (yeah, this is Dan).

I like 'em! These tires grip like crazy and are extremely quick and responsive...Can't wait to get them to the road course on 7/30!!!

Killer wheels. I wonder how much cussing was involved in trying to mount the tire with the outer lip having the spokes raised like that? Any special machine used?

It was very easy! we use a touchless mounting machine. Grabs from the center of the wheel not the prongs from the outside.

That is a face-up wheel for mounting, seeing as the drop center is behind the face. I'm more wondering about the duck head, as it usually glides just above that lip edge. Did you just move it further out and have to pry the tire further?

Awesome wheels. Really like those!

How much do they weigh?

How much did they run you?

Fronts weigh 25.75 and the backs 26.45. Even with the huge Nittos, I shaved 3 pounds/each from the backs and 4.5 pounds/each from the fronts...

I'll let Eric at Wheel Studio quote you a price - they ain't cheap, but definitely seem to be worth it. I'll know much more after 7/30. Put it this way, I decided to go for wheels, tires and rotors as opposed to a Maggie or E-Force.

Thanks!!!

Looking good man, looking good! Way to go on losing the poundage and getting a decent size wheel too!

Thanks, gents. I really like the way it came out. My 2 sons even say it is "sick!" Shocking that I am happy with it and so is the younger generation : )

There actually seems to be a bit more room in the back! Nice thing about the 315/35's is that they match our stock diameter - no speedo issues...

Yep, stock height. These tires are actually the same diameter as stock as well.
