how do i take out License plate lamps

Ordered some LED replacemetnts for my Camaro today for the Licese plate lights, already have the dome and Trunk, just wondering how i get them lenses off? I tried pushing int the taps, but nothing happened. Little more how-to woud be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

they have a black clip that you push in and they come right out. once you get the housing out, twist the bulb to remove it from the housing. very easy

just did mine today.
release the light housing by pulling the black tab toward center and pulling down. snap right out

turn the black bulb holder counterclockwise and the bulb holder pops right out.

pull factory light straight out of holder. put LED back in....turn car on to check that LED bulb is working...you may have to remove and rotate since they have a +/- end


i put in amber lights, nice. pigs will love it

Thanks for the info, i went out and tried it, i got the right side lense off pretty easy, then tried the Left side, and couldnt get it to budge yet, i'll keep trying, Pretty tuff for some reason.

yea one was a little sticky. i used a very small screw driver to pry a little.

Thanks, yeah, that was my next move, was to use a small screwdriver, to pry it open, appreciate the info!!

I tried the little screw driver this afternoon, just to try it, wrapped it in a small towel, and it worked. So im ready to go when my LED's come in the mail. Thanks all.
