Tail light bezel removal?

Do I have to remove the tail lights, to remove the tail light bezels?

no. push the clips all around. the top 2 clips are easy the bottom ones are a pain. just did it this week

i used a screw driver with a thin towel over it and just poped it out start in one corner annd work your way around, i did all 4 in 2 min

I tried for an hour today! I cant get the bottom clips out! Are you guys prying the bottom clips out from the front? If not, how in the hell do you get them out from the back? Thanks all for the help! Little frustrated!

I elected to remove the bumper....that only took about 10 - 15 mins and made the job WAY easier

i just slid the screw driver down the light and into the crack, give it a light twist and it pops right out

I finally got them out today! Thanks all for the help! Now trying to get the foglight bezels out with no sucess! LOL

Thumbs up GREAT DIY VIDEO

This video is also very helpful. I did mine in under an hour, the first one was the most difficult (broker a tab off:() but once you get the hang of it they come off pretty easy.

My experience was, get the top tabs pushed part way out first, then wrap the tip of a flat screw driver in a micro fiber cloth and stick the tip of the screw driver between the bezel and the tail light lens and gently turn the screw driver working your way around the bezel from the upper left corner down the left side, across the bottom ending in the lower right corner. Doing it this way requires no brute strength, just patience.

Just remember to be very gentle when pressing down on the tabs! I broke the first one and learned quick!

Good video! I will try getting my chrome bezels removed for painted black ones tomorrow. I tried for about 45 minutes to get one off today just using my hands trying to push the clips through from the back. Hopefully this screwdriver and towel method works for me!
