Oh okay, after looking some more, I was thinking of the VBOX Mini, which is more or less the 'consumer' version of the really really expensive setups that the magazines (etc.) use. It's still quite pricey, but oh the data!
http://www.vboxusa.com/performancedrift/vboxmini.php

The one you bought still looks awesome. I'd love to have one! It isn't in the cards, though. I spent that money on the GPS speedometer (and matching 8000rpm tach), heh.

Will the reservoir for the meth kit go in the trunk or did they find a way to utilize the wiper fluid tank? That will be sweet to see what it can do with the turbo -

What kind of boost controller did you go with?

I figured I buy everything from STS. Their kit will be using the wiper fluid reservoir, which is already modified (smaller) as part of the initial Turbo Kit. They also included a 2 stage boost controller. Basically it will run at the current boost of 5 psi. then when I hit the switch, it will run the "high boost" and activate the methanol injection. The STS Boost controller can be adjusted 1-5 psi. I believe. I'm looking for a place to install the pump as there's not a lot of mounting space and I didn't want to fabricate a bracket.

Not sure if you would know the answer to this, but how exactly is the turbo mounted? I know it's a direct bolt on, right? I guess i'm confused as to how it mounts to the stock exhaust and if it would work with an aftermarket exhaust (corsa).

also, was the tune the $600 option with the cable?

whenever you get the chance, i'm sure we would all love more pictures of the setup and your car, while we wait for further info from you.

I can get more pics at home. But the AACS pictures are probably the best of the install since they had the car on racks. But essentially, you would "cut-off" about 2 inches from the stock mufflers. From their, the STS tubing is clamped on (welding is suggested once the kit is fully mounted) and the turbo is suspended from the stock hanger locations. It would probably be a waste for you to cut your Corsa kit and would suggest selling the kit.

$600 tune does not come with cable. You will have to "ship back" the cable to STS once your tunes are loaded. I would suggest that you don't buy the tune from STS (save the $600 to them) and buy directly from Trifecta.

Thanks!

So the tune from sts is the $400 option from trifecta. So you suggest buying through trifecta to get the cable for $600? Do you get the $400 subtracted from sts since you don't need the tune?

I paid $600 through STS since at the time I ordered/paid for the kit, I didn't know it was Trifect doing the tune. And no, STS's fee did not include the cable. I'm just suggesting to you to buy it direct from Trifecta since that's who's doing the tune anyway.

Z, how much did it cost you to get installed?

I was quoted $6700 to have it installed and everything. (kit included in that price obviously)

I would assume so.

As far as cost to install, I did it myself in my little garage. So I can attest that it can be done (but I would suggest a second pair of hands). But, if you can get it installed for $6700 including the kit ($5,995), I would say that's a great deal. It would be worth $800 to get it done by a shop that will back up their install. Can you believe I paid $500+ bucks just shipping to Hawaii!

How's this, I just dyno'd my 2000 Z-28 (LS1) that has an SLP intake/MAF, long tube headers/exhaust, Pro. Prod. Intake/Throttle Body, Comp Cam, MSD coils/wire, etc. and she dyno'd at......350 rwhp. Of course, its a lot lighter that the 5th gen but I found it interesting that my two Camaro's dyno'd in the same. Says a lot about these engines and what a Turbo can do.

Boost controller and meth/water kit to run low boost/high boost, probably 5 and 8 psi. Hopefully that gets me to the 400 rwhp. Then, might add short-tube headers with the Solo Hi Flow Cats. Still debating on that though since that would be another $1500! I was thinking about polishing the intake manifold but waiting to hear the results from BMWdon and others. I'll be pretty happy with 400 rwhp and probably just add some gearing and figure that should keep up with most of the NA V-8's out there. Just having fun with the V-6! 1LS ftw.....

Wow, I used to live on Oahu.....Military guy, so you probably hate me. Just messing with ya.

$500 shipping is rediculous.....So you pretty much DID pay to have it installed then lol.

Do you NEED the meth kit to run it at the boost your running it at right? Basically asking if i got this installed would I NEED the meth kit?

i'm pretty sure the answer is no, on the meth kit. i think he just wants to get his car at 400rwhp with it.

Yeah, a meth kit cools the intake charge and you can reliably run higher PSI.

I'm not too familiar with meth kits. i'm sure Z can fill us in with more detail. But i think what it does is reduce air inlet temps, increase charge density, helps safely run higher boost pressure, and suppress detonation which will allow the utilization of more timing and boost. If that makes any sense to you. lol

Yep, kinda like overclocking a computer? More heat produces needs more cooling.
