2010 Camaro Left over

So I was planning on ordering a Camaro 1lt and stubled upon a left over 2010 2lt..

But Iam not sure which is better for me or worth the price.

My dealer has a brand new 2010 Camaro 2LT loaded for $31,695. They are willing to take $3,000 off the sticker price off $31,695. Plus they said i qualify for $1,500 in free parts..

Does anyone know if it is better to go with a 2010 leftover which is 1 level up from the 1lt I was going to order? I dont really care about the HUD that much.

Just trying to figure out if $28,695 is worth it for a 2010 fully loaded 2 LT with an extra $1500 is accessories?

thanx

I would say go for it, if you got the 2011, you wouldn't be getting HUD anyways since you would get the 1LT, only the 2LT and 2SS get HUD.

Any chance they might take an additional $1500 off and keep the extra accessories?

$3000 off is a good deal. With or w/o accessories. But you should contact BeckyD to see if she can get you something similar on a 2011 possibly? It doesn't hurt to ask.

But then again, for the 1LT there are no major changes between 2010 and 2011, so getting a 2011 1LT isn't really an upgrade from a 2010 1LT. A 2010 2LT still is an upgrade from a 2011 1LT since it includes leather, usb, bluetooth, etc. If I were you I'd seriously call BeckyD and ask if she could do the same deal on a 2011 2LT and get HUD. Why not. It doesn't hurt to ask. All she can do is say no.

I would try and squeeze them on the price. I believe the $1500 in parts is a GM incentive, and I got almost $2,000 Off Sticker + No Dealer Fee or Extras on a 2011 1LT/RS so I would shoot for $4,000-$5,000 off plus the parts. That would be an amazing deal and you should take that. Either way try and get them down, they want to get rid of a 2010 especially since the convertibles are on their way too.

Consider the hit you may take on resale value. Everything being equil, 3 years from now a 2010 Camaro could be worth 2 or 3 thousand less than the same model 2011.
Just my opinion of course.

I'm not sure when the last 10's were built but based on when I got my '11 in October, I'd say that car could be approaching 200 days or more on the dealers floor plan. Believe me they want to make that car disappear. Three grand off is pretty solid considering there's barely a grand between sticker & invoice, and they have a little more room below that in the hold back, but they are absolutely working below even that number already. You might be able to beat another $500-1000 out of them but that's it, and that might even be stretching it. If it's the car you want & aren't settling for something less than you want in terms of color & options, and you think the deal is right for you then pull the pin and make it happen. We'll be waiting to hear how you do.

Good luck,
John

You are approaching the price of a 1SS in that price category. Decide if you want a loaded V6 or a base SS. For me the choice would be easy. Even a slightly used SS can be had for $28K.
There is a reason why that 2010 is still unsold. Unpopular color or options may be the reason. Check the VIN and see when the car was built, could be stale in other ways too. Look for surface rust on the rotors, paint damage and a dead battery if it's been sitting outside.
When buying a one year old new car, you are also buying first year depreciation. That is 20%.

I just bought my new 2010 SS last week. It had been sitting on the dealer's lot for months, and they were really, really anxious to sell it. I got what I asked for on my trade, and got supplier pricing (which I don't qualify for), $1000 dealer cash discount (only on the 2010s), the $1000 loyalty offer, and the $1500 in free accessories. I couldn't have gotten the deal I did on a 2011, so I'm very happy

They sold both 2011 2 SS off the local lot here for 10 grand off sticker. They didn't want to sit on them all winter and pay interest on them. So you should be able to do better than 3 off a 2010

Hi, went to dealer today to look at it. Best they can do is $3,000 off sticker and the $1,500 in parts. Camaro is a 2010 2 LT Silver, auto trans, RS Package and Sunroof.

I was going to get a 2011 2LT with just auto trans without the RS Package but really just can afford it right now. thats why I am trying to figure if the 2010 leftover is a better deal where it is more in my price range and has more options especially the RS package.

thanx for all your help and i will keep you all updated

That 2LT is a good deal. Tell the dealer that you'll take it. Make sure the parts you get in accessories are installed for free.

I just bought a 2011 on Feb 8. The dealer didn't say anything about $1500 in parts. Is this for 2010 models only? or do I need to go back and complain.
