Haha reading what you guys will speculate that Jeremy will say is almost like watching the show! Quite entertaining. I do look forward to the review regardless good or bad. Jeremy recently reviewed the vette against the r8 I believe and although the vette wasn't as "good" he mentions it was more fun to drive which is why you should get it.

+1 Considering it was a whole second faster than the R8, it should've been better. They're always dark on the "quality" and "feel" of the car, if you will. I guess it's hard to argue, but there's almost no rivalling the Germans for those things though. Personally, I think GM put the money where it should've gone, and that's performance and speed.

JMVHO.

you guys are overlooking that their reasonably priced car is a Chevy haha (or was until this season again) They don't hate on things when they serve their purpose properly. They typically hate cars that claim to be something but falls short or doesn't get it quite right.

IMO this car set out to be something, and nailed it. No false claims here.

If you ask me the show is more about entertainment than actual review. If you want a true review you can watch motortrend on PBS.

Love Top Gear - but you are all correct - Hammy will like it and Jeremy will talk about the raw power, wheelspinning capabilities when traction disabled etc and will then pound on the interior, blindspots, gearshift, weight, body roll and handling. He may also say it does not sound like a V8 should since it is pretty quiet and he does like a lot of noise !

I would view a "good review" as concluding that it has its drawbacks - but is a very good step in the right direction for American car design.

Hopefully he does not deem it total rubbish or I will never hear the end of it from my family in the UK !

Usually about 2 hours after it airs in the UK, it's up on that site so you can watch them they day the come out as well. I bought an external hard drive and went to town on the downloading haha I have 80 Gb of JUST Top Gear on it haha, all 14 seasons and the new one from last night.

The Reliant Robin film actually made me laugh out loud. When he skidded it by the news reporter in the background on it's roof I just lost it haha. It was staged, but still hilarious.

I think he'll like the camaro actually, because it's cheap compared to other things in it's performance range. They tend to like bang for the buck. And they LOVED the Vauxhall VXR8, which was basically a Holden Monaro, and that was basically a Pontiac G8. This is just a more sporty version of that. It'll start off with all the things he hates about it, interior, blind spots etc etc, but he'll do a 180 surprise in the middle and end up loving it.
Thanks you Rock, DOH. Now I need to tell the Wife we need a new hard drive hehehe. I always wonder where they get there budget from to do all these AMAZING shows with the all cars, and there just so heliarious about it to, even my Wife loves to watch it with me.
To TopGear

I can already predict the show...

Something about the awful interior...
Something about mullets...
Then he'll get in it.
Drive the crap out of it....
Fall in love with the power...
Continually do burnouts...
Let the stig run a lap and impress all viewers...
Then reflect on what petty reasons he wouldn't buy the car for just to keep his smug euro-reputation in-tact.

Should be fun to watch.

For everyone that's only seen the episodes on BBC America, you're really missing out. Top Gear is broadcast commercial free in the UK and is a full hour in length. I would highly recommend watching online from one of the sites mentioned earlier in this thread.

Before you set your DVRs.....

BBC America is usually a season behind. Looking at the schedule, it appears we get Season 14, episode 3 on the 11th in North America.
