My Bowties ...

I went to get my bowties painted but it wasnt what I wanted. I wanted just the inside of the bowtie to get painted red while the outside stays chrome but the shop came out with this ... what do you guys think ...

but they are gonna fix and do it the way I want.

I really like it like that. Plus it seems to blend with your painted tail light bezels.

Appreciate the comments I'm kinda torn between keeping it like that or getting it how I wanted and make the Black Chrome to match the SS badges

You should always get what you want never settle! If you do you will always question it but on that note they do look nice either way its a win.

That's a lot easier said than done... you'll have a huge jagged hole in the middle of your grille.

I think the chrome edging would look better. Having the SS badges with the chrome edges and the bowties with black just throws it off, IMHO.

I read in another thead that the front one is just a clipped on and to take fishing line and go behind the one in the back then you some reson remover to take off any of the glue left behind.

Is that bowtie painted or is that a vinyl sticker?

I actually think you should keep it the way it is. It matches your blacked out tail light accents perfectly. If the bowtie was chrome, it would be the only chrome piece on your car...

Tough decision. I think the front might look better with the chrome, but I really like your new one on the back.

Since you blacked out the bezels, I think just leave it.

I don't get the anti-chrome crowd. I like the chrome trim on cars. The only reason there's no chrome on new cars is the cost and the stupid EPA. Look at the inside door handles on your new Camaro- Now that's beautiful. Just my opinion.

It looks good either way, it all depends on personal preference! What do you like better? That's what you should ask yourself.

The Red SS badges have chrome on it and it sticks out alot more now

They are going to order me new bowties and just paint the inside the same color red.

Well it's a hard question because I haven't seen the Red inside with chrome outside ... That orange up top looks really nice though so I have no doubt it will look good but I do like how the rear is now on my car lol but thanks everyone for ur .2 I should have made a poll and went off that lol

I agree. I love the chrome accents on my car... It's just enough!

Overdone, though, then it begins to look gawdy.

I have heard from some people who removed their rear bowties that there are holes in the rear panel for placement alignment. What will you do with those holes?

Why is the thread turning into a rumor thread with all the "I heard" stuff lol I had to drive with my tailight bezels and the bowties off to get them painted. Yes there is three slits in the front grille for the bowties because the piece just pops right in ... In the back it is two holes for the rear bowtie but is easy to fill ... I will post pics with them off
