Are You Ready Boys n' Girls?? My LS3 baseline

Well, not exactly since I already have the CAI installed and it's using the DiabloSport canned tune. Here are the results.

Thanks to Wayne at Brown Bros Performance. Dyno machine is a DynaPack DP4000.

Peak HP: 406 @ 6000 RPM
Peak TQ: 407 @ 4700 RPM

Sorry people, I don't know how to insert a video. Just as well since it's not too impressive.

Next up, ARH headers and Pypes exhaust.

over 400 is not bad at all .since we are at about 335hp from factory .i like those numbers .what did it cost you for the extra HP .MEANING THE CANNED TUNE AND YOUR INTAKE.

Yes, those numbers are awesome. It certrainly feels it too.

I think the DynaPack machine is more accurate than a conventional roller dyno. There is no wheel slip since the machine is directly connected to your axle.

But, the true test will be at the track. Hope I can get there after the mods are done and post some results.

pretty impressive to pick up in the neighborhood of 40-50 rwhp and torque with just a CAI and a tune.

I may be an idiot but when you are not rotating rear wheels and tires, that are very heavy, then I am guessing that ALL cars would pick up significant HP TQ on a dyno pac dyno over a mustang or dynojet. Am I missing something? I have seen cars with 22 inch wheels do less than cars with 20 inchers. My 2 cents.

The dyno graphs normally have smoothing effects that range from 1 to 5. On a scale of 1 to 5, this one appears to be about a 9.

Prior to the dyno runs, the rear axle ratio and tire OD were entered into the computer. I can only assume the Dynapack compensates for tire mass by adding friction at the rear rotors. Also, your standard, roller dyno will lose some HP due to slippage between the wheel and the steel rollers. So, I wouldn't be too surprised that the DynaPack results are higher than standard dynos.

I think that the DynaPack unit provide a truer representation of RWHP. Besides, there's no other dyno machine close by to me.

I'll be going back for another run after my ARH and Pypes exhaust are installed. Will post those results too.
