Ordered New Wheels from Wheels Boutique
Jon at Wheels Boutique has been great and Jordan at ADV1 went the extra mile explaining the options available on the wheels I ordered. By far they've provided the best customer service of the wheel companies I've contacted. It seemed that most forged wheel sellers assume you don't have the money to spend if you're driving a Camaro, it was frustrating to say the least.
Any negative comments you may have heard about ADV1 were made by their competitors as far as I'm concerned, they're top notch IMO. On another note, if you're interested in buying my current wheel setup, they're for sale. Below is a picture of my car as configured today. They are widened stock midnight silver wheels with adapters, the widening was done by Vauhn in CA who's the best in the business. The wheels are 20x9 fronts and 20x11 rear with 275/40 and 315/35 Dunlap Sport Maxx tires. The tires have a total of 550 miles on them and not a single burnout has been done. The adapters are top quality, German made, hub centric billet aluminum, and very strong. We ran the car on the dyno and highway at 140+MPH and there was no shaking at any speed. I've already got two sets of wheels in my garage, so these need to go. The entire setup is yours for $1,600 + shipping. The tires alone cost more than that new. If interested send me a PM and I can answer any questions you have. PayPal is fine and I'll accept returns but the shipping cost is on you. |

No way that car isn't victory red. Everything else is the proper color.

Why so much? I would have called Duncan at Vivid , hes giving me the cheapest price. 1200.00 per wheel shipped. What maching are you doing? i love the wheels , but the price is hitting the bank hard. I will wait untill i see the wheels on your car. How long is the wait?

![]() The machining is just a bit of weight removal from the backside of the spokes, but that's not a $1200 value. I'll have another chat with Jon at Wheels Boutique to see if he can do any better. |

I got the from roadfly.com Forging uses intense heat and pressure to transform a [solid} slug of alloy material into the final shape of a wheel. Forged aluminium is about 300 per cent stronger than cast aluminium, yet less material is needed to produce the same "cast alloy wheel", which results in a lighter product. Because of the basic limitations inherent in forging, most forged wheels are two or three piece units. In two-piece construction, a centre is forged and welded or bolted into a spun or stamped outer rim. In a three-piece wheel, the centre is bolted to an inner and an outer rim half. This stands as an advantage of being easily customisable for a variety of widths and offsets. Casting is a relatively inexpensive way to produce a high-quality, fairly strong alloy wheel. There are two methods used. One, system is known as gravity casting... whereby the molten material is poured into a mold and allowed to cool. These molds are usually made by machining a piece of material on CNC machine equipments to produce a wheel that only requires minor finishing (like drilling or possibly trimming of some excess metal) to be considered complete. The other and better system used is the low pressure or negative pressure casting. Here instead of pouring the molten material into the mould, the molten alloy is drawn up into the mould using a high-pressure vacuum. This eliminates much of the trapped air found in gravity casting process, producing a stronger wheel that is less porous than a gravity-cast one.

The GM "chicklet" emblems were stopped sometime around August or September. The round things next to the reverse lamps are the backup sensors.
