TPMS

If I were to buy a spare set of rear wheels with drag radials for use at the strip (fitted with sensors), how does the TPMS react when you remove the original rear wheels and install the spare set?

The TPMS system freaks out, shows you have no air in the rear tires. Any time you put new sensors on the car, you have to reset the TPMS system and have it relearn all the current sensors on the car.

If these drag wheels are just for the track, don't waste your money on a pair of sensors. Just use the regular valvestems on those. It will show a TPMS error on your dash, but it won't affect performance. The car will be happy once the original tires are put back on with the sensors intact.

I suspected that might be the case. I was intending to have a set of NT05's to throw on for the strip but sometimes maybe leave them on for a week or so before going back to the Pirelli's. So if I understand correctly, once the pcm learns on set of tires, if you remove them it will not recognize another set but if you reinstall the set it learned, it will again recognize them without any reprograming.

HP Tuners is only for powertrain control, not body control systems.
