San Diego cruise to Hurst Performance 7-10-10 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

If anyone from San Diego is planning on going to the Hurst Performance Vehicle Meet on July 10th, heres where I will be morning of. I plan on getting there at 8:30, leaving by 9 am since google says its a 1 1/2 hour drive. Located right off of the I-5N, after the I-5/805 merger. After leaving AmPm we'll take I-5N all the way to Hurst. If anyone has any better locations, suggestions etc.. feel free to chime in and we'll work something out since its still a few days away.

EDIT 2: New location, off of I-5N, after 5 / 805 merger.

From I-5N / I-805 N Take exit 33B. Stay to the right.
Turn Right on to Carmel Valley Rd
Turn Left at El Camino Real
Take first Left, back on to Carmel Valley Rd
AM/PM gas station and taco bell will be on the right hand side.

I figured that theres people north of me, and south of me, so i picked something kind of in the middle. If we go up the 15, it will take longer to get there. from the 52, it cuts the drive time down a bit, so we dont have to go down the 15 or the 8, then back track up to the 5.

Where further north did you have in mind? and north being Miramar / Escondido area north, or along the coast line north?

I'm in Oceanside so i can meet you at a spot closer to here since I live right on I-5N at camp pendelton. Or if I got a call from you 10 mins from here I can hop in my car and meet you on the road.

I can meet you at the I5 / 805 Merge area. Not sure where a good spot would be though...I am right off Mira Mesa Blvd - Miramar area. I can always pull off the road and wait for a call then follow

Oh ok, your just a short drive to the 805 then. Heres what i'll do, I have to head up to oceanside tomorrow after work, i'll see if theres any places close to the 5 / 805 merger that we could all meet at. seems that would probably be best anyways, and then on the way up can give Rhebert a call and have him meet up with us when we pass through Oceanside. Sound good?

Nice! yeah just PM me your number sometime and i'll call ya when were a few miles out, and if you know of a gas station or something real close to an exit, we can swing by to pick you up as well. Atleast that way we're not all trying to guess if were ahead or behind eachother.

I don't remember the exit name but I'll find out later today. But the exit literally right after the camp pendelton exit wraps you back around to vandergrift. If you just stay straight on vandergrift and make that first left there's a chevron station and if you go a little passed that there's a another station right across the street and a Dennys next to the chevron station but I don't think the parking lots merge so you gotta go passed that first left to get into the dennys lot. Other then that ain't much elsewhere to meet unless you get off at Oceanside blvd or the 76 exit

This is the dennys location, a MOBIL gas station share the parking lot so waiting for the caravan wont be a problem. Loopback: Since SDcamaro and his group are leaving at 9 am its about a 20-30 minute drive to this location so at about 9:20 we should meet here. The exit for this is 54C Oceanside Harbor Dr. It's literally right after 54B Camp Pendelton exit. and it aint hard to miss if you just keep going straight and to get back on I-5 is not hard. So SD if you wanna meet here this would be a good spot cuase its half way for just about everyone since its only about 50 minutes from the meet. Let me know guys. Ok I tried to get the map working but im being retarded. The address is 487 South Harbor Drive, Oceanside, Ca. if I can figure out what im doing wrong ill put it up.
