MGW shifter all the way. It is a well engineered complete replacement shifter. It is smooth and precise.

Well, unless you really search the threads and find someone that has done comparisons (like Jannetty/CAI), most everyone will be satisfied with their initial purchase, me included.
I went with LSR
http://www.lsrperformance.com/drivet...vy-camaro.html

I installed it myself in about 1 1/2 hours - the hardest part was putting the dust boot back on.

I went with the LSR as well. I love the feel, most people don't know it's aftermarket.
Here is my writeup

Look carefully at the design of each product. Most are just partial replacements for the stock stick. Also look at the number of Hurst shifters that are on the used resale market.

I went w/the Hurst short throw. I love it. My dealer installed it for $70.00. Don't pay more than an hour labor charge wherever you get it done.

They are all fine. I got Hurst and love it. Others are very happy with their choices as well.

I went with the LSR shifter as well. I have no complaints with it and feels way better than the stock shifter.

Not to be an ass, but... 'they' can't tell it's aftermarket by the looks or by the feel?
I'm hoping 'they' can tell the difference in feel with a short throw VS stock

For the cost, looks, and ease of installation, I went with Barton. I had the pistol grip originally, but have been using the ball since April.
