GM MILITARY DISCOUNT ENDING ????

I'm gettin quotes on 2011 2SS/RS for December delivery (I'm deployed) and one of the dealers is claiming the GM Military Discount is "going away September 30 and won't return for awhile".

I trust Camaro5 more than I trust him.

Is this true, false, rumor, or....?????/

Couple of good dealers on here could answer that... Camaro Scotty or Becky@Rodgerschevrolet or Little_Bank_Robber

They also lumped all the discounts into on now called (GMS) GM Supplier Pricing. Might just be called something different.

I really have no clue, but hope you get an answer.

I have another question about the military discount! Does the discount apply to reservists? Im in a Deployable Operations Group so I am active duty for 6+ months out of the year, but technically I am a reservist. Any info on this would be appreciated

I do know in in May it was good for everyone including Retirees. Not sure about reserves but I bet it does... especially when you're active.

Edit: From this post it sounds like reservists are included...

Also, don't forget about the $750 USAA discount that can be combined with this one.

sweet, how much off is the military discount?
...idk in my opinion it should be pretty close to invoice. The people who are protecting our country should atleast get the same discount as people who are working at a Chevy dealership (IMHO)

From the dealer program details:

THE GENERAL MOTORS MILITARY DISCOUNT PRICING PROGRAM FOR ACTIVE AND RESERVE MILITARY PERSONNEL, INCLUDING THEIR SPOUSE, WHO PURCHASE/LEASE ONE OF THE ELIGIBLE MODELS DETAILED IN GUIDELINE NUMBER 4 BELOW.

3. Program Time Period July 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010 (DELIVERED).

No one knows if it will be extended, your sales person is speculating. In his opinion it will not be extended. The way AROUND that problem is to negotiate a price in advance of your order. So if it is not extended after the program expires, what will they sell you the car for.

ELIGIBLE MODELS:
---------------
ALL NEW AND UNUSED 2009, 2010 AND 2011 BUICK, CHEVROLET, PONTIAC, GMC AND SATURN PASSENGER CAR AND LIGHT DUTY TRUCK MODELS **EXCLUDING** CHEVROLET VOLT

Good luck!

What Frank said - but some dealers will do the deal with or WITHOUT the discount code.

Is the discount an amount off the sale price, like the USAA credit of $750? If so how much is the discount? And does it definitely apply to 2011 Camaro purchases?

I like it when Chevrolet (GM) takes care of the US military members! Wish they could extend it to our brothers in arm up north (Canadians) too...
