very impatient and getting angry!

Tpw 6/28... built on 6/28. Was supposed to be shipped to my dealer on Monday. Now its Tuesday and still no freaking car. And no ct updates either. Still cant believe that my car has been in chicago (or on a truck) since before the 4th of july and I live less than 200 miles away. Is there any way I can find out what the hold up is? And seeing that I have already signed all the papers and my first car pmt is due in less than a month I think I have the right to find out EXACTLY where it is and when it will get here. Im not angry at the dealer... they did their job in getting me a good price and ordering it... but it was supposed to be here YESTERDAY!!!!!

When you fill out all the paperwork that says you have taken delivery of the car, the monthly payments start then regardless if you actually have the car because you told the bank or whoever your loan is though that you do have it.

I remember the wait myself, then I had someone with a later TPW, who ordered after me get his car first.

The tracking appeared to me that my car was just sitting in Oshawa. The after reviewing it, my issue was the stripes.

Yours might be something as dumb as sitting at the railyard waiting for another few cars to optimize the load to the dealer.

Good thing you didn't Pre-order one, the wait was horrific. hang in there, flustrating, yes, but know the satisfaction of owning one of these babies makes all the proir issues not so bad.

Trust what everyone on here is saying....it is all worth it in the end...................my car sat in the railyard for 10 days waiting to be put on a truck but when I walked around the building and seen it for the first time all those feelings of impatient waiting turned into complete joy........my wife actually cried when she sat in it for the first time.....be patient I promise it is worth it!

I finalized the loan at my own bank.. and brought a check to the dealer. I dont even have to be the person to pick the car up at this point. (which might wind up happening) Im sure the dealer wont cash the check until I take delivery...Which is fine with me, I just want the freaking car. But I have a feeling that since I work two jobs today from 8am to 11pm im sure if will come today... the one day this week that I cant go to pick it up myself!

But thanks for all the encouragement! it does help!

I will be sure to post pics... I was planning a small road trip this weekend I hope the car gets here by then!!!

Same thing happened with me. It took less time for the car to travel from Oshawa to San Antonio than it did to get trucked the last 80 miles to Austin. Train = fast, truck = slow!!

Thanks guys! Still no word on the car though. I just wish I knew a definite arrival date... Ive been hearing "tomorrow or maybe the day after" for the last week now. The wait is really stressfull! Id rather know my car would come exactly one week from now than go all week without knowing when it will come. Is there any way I or the dealer can contact the trucking co and find an ETA or at least light a fire under their butts to kick them into gear? Id even settle for the damn thing just getting dropped off somewhere else 100 miles away and ill go get it myself! (doubt thats possible though but wishful thinking is all I got!)

From the time it was dropped off to the dealer "ready" to be picked up if I wanted, it was one month, 25 days...nearly two months at the dealer (but of course, that was because it was getting extra goodies added to it).

Some of the others waiting forever (read above) due to area 51. A few days is bliss compared to the months others had to wait. Just be patient and remember that good things come to those who wait.

Your delivery is right around the corner and believe it or not, you won't remember a thing about having to wait this long once you are handed the keys.

It says on my loan docs from my bank that my first payment is due aug 12. As far as the bank is concerned... I have the car. It was supposed to be delivered monday which was why I finalized the loan that day. If it wasnt for having to work almost 60 hrs this week I would have been able to finalize the loan at time of delivery, but I may need someone else to actually pick up the car if I am working... Id rather have it safe in my garage than at the dealer. Especially with all of the wheel/tire theft and vandalism around here lately :(

Exactly. No car=no money.

Sounds like someone jumped the gun. Although would have wanted it on delivery day too!

I did jump the gun, but that was the only day I could make it to the bank and dealership. And I at least have some piece of mind from already having the loan taken care of and out of the way! We will just say the bank was not thrilled about giving a 22 yr old like me a loan for a 1ss camaro without a cosigner... but I got it done!!!

I just picked up my car yesterday and I understand the last few days are the most anxious and frustrating time, especially when there is no set date.

You can keep asking the sales manager if there is a problem with the truck delivery and what the problem is. Other than that, just try to focus on something else as much as you can until you get the call. I know it's tough but that's the best you can do.

Pretty soon, you'll be sitting in one and it will feel so unreal. And from then on, your face will automatically smile whenever you see your baby sitting in the parking lot.

They built it, it will come! Mine got hung up in Ill. over the July 4th holiday last year, spent like 6 days on the train. Relax, it will be so cool when the phone does ring!
