Is this a DIY? Would you suggest doing it at the same time as gears or does it matter? How long does it take you to install?

Yes, we wrote excellent instructions with pictures.

Yes it is best to do this while you have the rear end apart, or you will double your work of Removal and disassembly, reassembly and installation.

No they are not and Yes I would, but you must understand machining is required for fit.

Oh, I didn't know that!!! I was hoping to avoid having to remove and send my rear end to you. I can only imagine that is going to be very expensive to ship. But, maybe I should just swallow the expense and have it done right the first time (by your shop).

It really isn't that bad.

I now have a core unit I can build ahead of time to speed the process.

I just need to know what gear you want.

So how are people normally shipping their "pumpkins" to you? Fed Ex, Freight Shipping, something else? Because of the weight and size, it would have to be in a wooden crate of some kind, wouldn't it? I'd like to try to estimate how much shipping is going to cost me.

The speed of the process is not a concern for me. My car will be going into a 5-6 month winter storage soon, so I've got lots of time. In fact, if there are any serial numbers or codes of any kind on the rear end, I would actually prefer to keep the original with my car if possible.

Which gears? I'm still trying to figure that out! I'm undecided between the 4.10's and 4.33's. My car (LS3) only has a cat-back and cai right now, but I do have some high-horsepower plans for the future. My buddy keeps telling me to go all the way with the 4.33's, but I'm questioning whether or not those are too aggressive for a daily street driver?? What's your recommendation?

Yes guys are using UPS Ground shipping service.

Gear choice will depend on final set up if your staying NA then the 4.33s would be great, you still have 2 overdrives.

If you have any plans for Supercharging then go 4.10.

Yes, staying NA, no superchargers, no turbos, no nitrous....all engine is what I want. So, thank you for helping me decide....4.33's it is!!! Now I've just have to convince the "better half" that $2k plus shipping is worth it!!! I'll let you know when I'm ready to ship...
