Nurburgrings with 305s?

So far a bunch of us have the TSW Nurburgrings 20x9, 20x10.0. So far everyone (including myself) has used their stock Pirelli's 275/40/20s out back.

Mousemotor put 305 Pirelli's on his Nurburgrings and he said they stick out about 1/2." He said the tires look bad axx, but he's most likely dropping back down to the stock 275/40/20 tires so his tires don't stick out.

So is there anyone else with the Nurburgrings running 305s or bigger? If so what's your off sets?
I believe my offsets were 20x9 (+20) and 20x10.0 (+35). This off set works perfectly with the stock tires, but it might not work with wider tires.

Just want to give everyone a heads up and to see if anyone else has tried to run 305s or wider tires (with their Nurburgrings).

Here's a side shot of my car running the Nurburgrings 20x10.0 (+35) with the stock 275s. They fit just right, but there's not a lot of room (without the tires sticking out) for much wider tires.

Put 305's on!

Send us all a picture and we'll give our opinions. I think it sticking out would be cool looking. 305 and up tires are sexxxxxxxyyyyyyy. ha

You should be able to run a 295 without making them stick out. 285-295 is the ideal tire width for a 10.0 wheel. For 305, I'd prefer a higher offset to account for tire width.

Here's what I was thinking.

255/40/20s up front - 28'' diameter
295/35/20s out back - 28.1'' diameter

This will throw off the speedo by about 1-2 mph or so. At 60mph the speedo will be reading 61-62 mph or so.

"The highest offset available is a +35 and a Pirelli 305 tire will stick out about 1/4". Nitto tires run a bit narrower and may work but I cannot guarantee this.

The front 20x9 +20 will fit the factory 275 and will not stick out at all."

I just knew the TSW Nurburgrings were too good to be true. Looks like TSW needs to come up with a +45 to +50 offset rear wheel in the 10.0 to 10.5 size to fit the 305 and 315 size tires inside the wheel well.

It looks like the Nurburgrings are going to be for someone wanting light weight wheels (23 lbs) while still running the OEM tire sizes.

So what tire options are there for 285-295?

285/35/20 and 295/35/20.

But even the 295/35/20 Pirelli's could be too wide. The Pirellis run wide.

The issue is you'd need 255/40/20 sized front tires to balance out the tire diameters from front to back. You might be able to run these rear tires with the stockers up front, but I'm not sure. The diameters are off a bit.

In the 285/35/20 size

1. Goodyear Supercar G2 (original equipment on the 11 GT500
2. Bridgstone Potenza 050 A (original equipment on many high dollar cars)
3. Continental Sport Contact 3 (original equipment on many high dollar cars)
4. P - Zeros Pirellis

In the 295/35/20 size - some (wider tires like Pirellis) may still be too wide and slightly stick out.
1. Nitto Invo - they should work
2. Bridgestone Potenza 001 (original equipment on many high dollar cars)
3. Michelin PS2 (original equipment on many high dollar cars -ZR1, etc)
4. Pirellis P - Zero
