Don't believe so, rather than just waiting it out until prices drop. But it doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon. Keep saving, young buck.

Well as far as any offers on the 2010's I dont know but your insurance is going to be pretty high , what I would do is call my agent and have him quote me some prices and then shop around for other rates. I think you would be better off looking for a used 2010 1LT or LS that someone is selling. Good luck in your search and hope to see pics soon!

1 ticket and 1 accident and your 19 . . I would say buy a nice used SS 4th gen camaro and play with that for a bit, will be way cheaper.

Your insurance is only $1,400 because you don't drive a Camaro and are on your moms account. Get a Camaro and expect TWICE that if not more with 1 ticket and an accident already.

I'll never get in the way of someones dream... EVER. But be careful that you know this is what you want at your age and with your record. That's all I'm going to say.

Guessing on insurance does not work.

Call your insurance company and ask them about your rate change for a Camaro. Get them to tell you the difference for all the different models. might help you decide which car to buy.

There are plenty of people who are paying over $500/mo insurance on their V6 Camaros. The common denominator seems to be either being very young (under 25) or having a bad driving record (more than one accident and/or ticket) You seem to fall in both categories unfortunately. Unless you get minimum coverage and don't get collision for yourself you'll probably be paying thousands more a year than you currently pay. But the only way you can know for sure is to go to allstate.com, geico.com etc and get some quotes worked up. You need to provide your social security # for an accurate quote as well.

A little information from my experience:

I am 24 and have bought both my cars under my own support and have had my insurance in my name since 16. In Texas, a male at 25 gets you a break on your insurance. I have been in one accident when an illegal Mexican smashed into me on the freeway (thank God for UIM protection) and never been pulled over.

Like others have said, you need to call you insurance company and see who much it would cost. Also keep in mind that some loan companies require certian deductiblesin order to satisfy their needs (mine says I have to have $500 deductibles down the line). I end up paying ~350 a month for insurance. When I turn 25, will drop to ~265/month. Try also to pay your entire premium at once, not per month, thats what I do and saves money.

Also, as a side note, unless you have bought a few cars and have negotiated many times, bring an adult with you to the table. They see 19 year old, they smell fresh blood ;-)

I'm 18 and I pay $1100 every 6 months but I don't have any accidents or tickets. With your driving record insurance isn't going to be cheap. I'd bet at least $3k a year.

The only published incentive from Chevy on the 10' Camaro is a $750 USAA rebate. I'm guessing you won't qualify for that. I'll bet that starting in August there will be some decent incentives for all 10' Camaros as the 11' started hitting the lots earlier this month and while they are selling Camaros they're not selling as many as they anticipated. At least in my area. The lots seem to be full of them.

I can also tell you that ins. is going to cost you more than the car. Is it worth it? that's up to you and how much discretionary income you have available to you. I would suspect you'd be paying somewhere in the $400-$500/ month range for ins.
